The loss of wanyama has caused a lot of fiddling around in CM.Theres no doubt if fit he plays every game like last season and you have a very stable back 3 with vic infront giving a very solid base .Yes his loss has given winks a chance but there’s no question we’ve missed him.

I’d blood foyth as quickly as possible DM.Maybe give him a start against palace. For me he has everything to be a top DM.If dier gets injured we are well and truely screwed.Would leave us no obvious DM and 3 Experienced CB.

People will start to agree @coys200 once they see a bit more of him. Very calm on the ball and reads angles very well. Would allow him to also get a bit more familiar with the pace of the league and doesn't mean it is a full time switch.

Missing both Dembele and Wanyama has been a real blow for us. On the positive side it has enabled Winks to get game time as well as allowing experimentation. In the short term I believe it has cost us points and stability but perhaps in the long-term we will benefit (?)

The Argentine poster on here (i can't recall his username) who broke the Foyth news, said that Foyth originally started playing further up the pitch but was moved back due to his height.

so i don't get why people are so quick to shoot down the idea of him playing DM for us.

Has anyone shot down foyth playing DM? I’m already convinced he is quicker than either wanyama or dier.A better passer and I’ve a feeling could make more cutting runs through the opposition.

Very bad news about VW if what JJ says is correct, we miss him badly in the big away games, City, Chelsea and Liverpool will be even harder without him, Dier is not in the same league as the DM.

Also very worried about Lamela from Poch's recent comments, he seemed to suggest the medical people think he is almost there physically but it is in his head and they are waiting for him to tell them he is ready to play. If he is fit and he can't tell them he is ready for Madrid at home, when is he going to feel ready?

He is not eligible for Madrid...not registered for Champions League

We have also learned that Sissoko is far better at CM than playing out wide.
