I was kinda wanting league tables including stats, plenty of pictures, measurements (of IQ's of course) and comparisons with other Spurs Wags. What a shame and what a misleading thread...... :(

:D

I suspect DaSpurs was expecting the same too, hence his admirable stance towards protecting the human rights of WAGs.

We need to remember that as a rare species on this planet they have feelings too and are not just bits of meat for hairy, bald old men to leer and joke at and zoom in on their cracks. They may even post here, so we should definitely be mindful and show a little more respect, in the hope that they show us a little more back.

Just link to one person you actually saw "calling a woman dumb and unintelligent for not playing a boy's video game" !

Nobody thinks not playing FM is proof of retardation. No one said it. Not being able to discern it from reality is just funny. So yeah, lied. I want to know how that felt for you.
Wow, what are you getting so aggressive about? The answer to your initial query is right here in the thread's title where her "intellectual qualities" are called into question.

Like others, I think her concern was rather sweet.

What's dumber, her thinking the tweet was real, or some gimp posting a screenshot of his video game online and thinking anybody would care...?

What the hell happened in here then?

It was an amusing image posted by Andros. Clearly shows she isn't the brightest, but then not many of us are.

It's not hilarious and also doesnt mean she is a totally brain dead slut- she could be, but we don't know either way.

The photo is amusing as is her faux pas. So not sure where the high tensions have come from

If people honesty believe this wasn't staged by Andros himself and actually think this chick just stumbled across a laptop, with Football Manager playing, with a news update of her boyfriend is pretty naive... Or thick as shit.. It's definitely staged.

It was amusing. There's no need for abuse. Chances are one of her Twitter followers jokingly sent her the pic and she didn't have her sleuthing hat on and reacted to the headline. I know her cousin. He's a big Gooner with hands like shovels. I have no more to add.

Am I too late to punch myself?

Not being able to discern it from reality, isn't the same as not playing it. That's not a tough distinction if you're being honest.

People were amused by the former misperception. DaSpurs presented that as mocking the latter omission - although he could show zero examples of anyone actually doing it, because he'd confected it. By means of his false account of it, the amusement seemed less fair, and he could moralise at us about being mysogynistic better.

I think her concern was sweet as sugar too.

You are very much overreacting to the post, as well as misinterpreting the point.

The latter is an exaggeration of the former, and that was the intent of it. The point was to use that exaggeration to point to the disproportionality in response to this woman in her very slight slip in discernment, which to my eyes very much was bred from mysogonistic undertones. A "lie?" No, not at all. A rhetorical trick to convey the absurdity of the response to this woman's mistake? Yes, very much so. Why it is that you have taken so much issue with that, rather than the sexism at hand (not necessarily here, but the response across the internet was very fueled by sexism), or someone writing something truly libelous against your favorite politician, or your favorite Mario character (that's a joke, not a lie), or mind-numbing deliberate ignorance (@yankspurs agreeing with you should have been a red flag in truth) - truly is beyond my reasoning capacity. What an utterly bizarre thing to spend your Sunday evening pursuing, and now into the week. I didn't present you your link because I had stepped out to enjoy my own Sunday afternoon, and felt it not worth dealing with strangely aggressive you were being over such a minute matter, especially since it was bred from an exaggerated misinterpretation of an exaggeration in the first place, as well as misinterpretations later in the dialogue.

I didn't refer to Andros' specific tweet, as that would have almost as absurd to have been my point of reference as interpreting it to have been. It was in reference to the responses, which again, much of which were clearly bred from sexism. I don't at all apologize for believing that the response to little scenario has been exaggerated by sexism, and making my belief known about it. However, why my post caused you such bowel upheaval (Jesus, I just must be a compulsive liar) is difficult for me to wrap my head around, so I'm sorry I did not continue our dialogue. Maybe this post will help you understand my meaning a little clearer, and help pacify your mind somewhat?

"Social justice warriors." Haha I must say, I love that one though, and got a hearty lol at these creatures being the "worst thing on the internet." Sweet Jesus, what a strange thing to preoccupy one's mind with (not pointing at you, but the first one to bring this strange new noun forward).

What in the fuck is this post? Why are you turning something that is obviously a light hearted joke into this? Smoke some weed, relax and get a sense of humor. Come on, man.

A woman has partially understood something and has got her back up.

Sounds pretty normal to me.
