Spain are untouchable as the best team in the world right now, steamrolling teams at a walking pace with decent strength in depth. Them aside, international football is terrible.

I wouldn't say its terrible. England is IMO. But outside of Spain, Germany look like one hell of a team. Argentina are very close to being one hell of a team.

Holland spend most of the time looking average but they are a very strong unit, same goes for Brasil.

And outside the big teams you get some great little entertaining who play much better then the some of their parts, Mexico, Ghana, Uruguay and Chile. All but Uruguay out of these teams are young and improving and in Brasil might spring one hell of a surprise. In fact I would put good money on one of those 4 teams making the semi's

Spain are the number one team on merit and are well ahead in Europe at the moment. Argentina should be great given their squad, its makes you wonder what might have been had they not had Diego as manager in SA.

I don't buy it that it was Diego's fault for what many deemed a failure in SA. For starters the lost to a seriously strong Germany side. Put anybody incharge of Argentina and they would of lost. Argentina where actually very good value in SA and played some brilliant football. I actually think Diego did far from a bad job for someone with zilch experiance in managing, every player worked their socks off for him and generally they did well. They just are not a complete team. their defence is poor, very poor, and they offen struggled moving the ball forwards from the back.

I blame him 100%.

He left Cambiasso (after a season in the CL where Cambiasso had rendered Messi ineffective) and Zanetti at home.

Any manager who does not see the value of a player like Esteban Cambiasso, especially after just havin the season of his life, is incompetent.
