Eriksen is technically superior and does his best work in the last third, a real attacking midfielder with an eye for goal. I feel like Holtby is more of a workhorse (still very technically sound) and seems more comfortable in deeper positions.

It would be Siggy more than Holtby to miss out if we signed Eriksen.

I do not know if he is better than Holtby but both Holtby and Eriksen are better than Sigurdsson.

Look at Holtby's Shalke stats as a #10. For us he was completely ineffective and ran around a lot when he came on last season. Let him play a true #10 against weaker teams than Arsenal, he'll feed Soldado through balls all day.

Let the fuckers fight it out. Plenty of games for both of them.

Who cares, they are both gonna get better and better competing with each other.

Our squad is just getting scary.:)

Holtby will play in the middle 3 but push forward, Eriksen i think will play behind the striker or left forward/Mata style,

Sig will miss out..

I'd love to see them both in the same team to be honest and Holtby's work rate means we wouldn't miss anything when we're defending. I'm going to dream a little bit now of Holtby and Eriksen becoming our Xavi and Iniesta :D

They're both quality. Having them both in our squad fighting it out for a place will be great.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I haven't seen a lot of erikssen, but I think so many people wrote off holtby too quick. When he first arrived he was class as a sub, it didn't really happen for him when he started games last season. Great game today though. I think the lad will make it.

I have similar thoughts on sig, there is a top class player in there somewhere. However IMO holtby > sig. If AVB didn't think erikssen was better than one of them, then we wouldn't be after him, so I will trust his judgement.

I acknowledge your 'Zakora' and I raise you one 'Gomez.'
God dammit.

It's not like his name IS ON THE BACK OF THE SHIRT IS IT?

I probably shouldn't get so worked up, but why people can't spell player names really gets to me.:D
