Or does anyone else get embarrassed about supporting spurs sometimes? Not because of the team, but because of certain portions of the fan base. Booing after 20 minutes today. Who the fuck do they think they are? Thats really going to help things. 3 games is no time to gel. But with the gutter press after AVB's head from the day he joined, they are going to have an absolute field day with this.

And what does that do? Piles more pressure on AVB. And that will translate down to the players. Im not saying simply singing for the team will sort our problems out, but it wouldnt hurt. Booing is a cancer. And im so so sad that we've decided to adopt it.

I used to mock the Gooners for doing it, but now we've started doing it as well. Newsflash guys, we don't have a God-given right to win every match, especially when we have a new manager who needs patience and not kneejerking.

Anyone that has booed at a game should hang their head in shame.

Idiocy was sacking our most successful manager in the PL era and replacing him with AVB.

whl has become terrible in recent years

the atmosphere has become nervy, tense and pretty irrational and when the team arent playing well fans jump on their backs.

I much prefer watching spurs away from home with the true fans who've been there through thick and thin to be honest

I totally agree. Why do you think that is? Do you think that its because people have had a taste for success and as a result demand it every time? The stupid thing is that we are still in so much better shape than we were in the early 00's. We're just in a little rut at the moment i guess. All fans can do is back the team.

From the stream I watched there did seem to be a real anger/frustration to the atmosphere today. Boos after 20 mins and then later in the half cheers when we made a forward pass.

I guess paying spectators are entitled to vent their feelings, but I dont think its helping in instances like this. Save the boos for HT/FT.

And yes, the atmosphere in recent years I have to agree has become very subdued. We need to get behind the team!

To be honest, it was always going to be like this today as we "failed" in the window yesterday. Such a shame.

completely agree. the knee jerk reactions blaming the manager is what really bugs me.
2 points in 3 games is poor, but not calling-for-the-managers-head-bad. when you factor in the fact that it's the 3rd game of the season under a new manager, ade & dembele didn't get the start, our starting striker doesn't fit our system, dempsey & lloris just signed (and hence couldn't play), and the reasoning for the 2 points total being that we conceded 2 sloppy, last minute equalizers, among other things, our state of things don't sound as bad as people are making them out to be.

I don't boo and certainly don't agree when others do it but after seeing the utter dross witnessed today when compared to the football from last season its understandable why people do it.

We've lost our most successful manager for years, lost our best defender for years, lost 2 of the best players for years.

It's still early but the vultures are already out circling AvB hoping him to fail and the boo boys certainly won't help. Hopefully the international break is what he needs to bring the players together otherwise I can only see the supporters getting worse and White Hart Lane becoming a very negative place to be.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fully behind AvB and Levy, but the situation needs to improve.

Agree.

Tempted to call this season a transaction season, forming a new team and letting the new coach team set their mark on this squad.
This would mean to lower our expectations and be ok with the upper part of the table this season, but will give AVB some breathing room.

I know thats a little defeat to admit, but could be good for the long run, allthough I suspect most fans nor Levy will be that patient.

<BANG HEAD ON WALL, TURN, TAKE FIVE PACES, RUN AT WALL, BANG HEAD ON WALL, TURN, WALK FIVE PACES, RUN AT WALL, NAMG HEAD ON WALL, REPEAT INDEFINITELY>

FFS, there were many reasons that Mr Redknapp was dismissed. Not least the fact that, when we were on the verge of securing a relatively easy third place he totally lost interest and the plot because he thought he had the England job in the bag, his seeming discord with the Chairman over strategic vision for the future, his total inability to keep his mouth shut, and his crazy decision to hire himself a new agent and demand a new three year contract in the same week as the chairmanwas burying his mother, when he should have appreciated that he was on thin ice as it was - but then tact was never his strong hand.

He's gone, get over it - or maybe you could just open one of the threads where Mr Redknapp's dismissal and the reasoning thereof is discussed endlessly and read and reread to your hearts content (y)

It's crazy...who would spend money to do nothing but slate the team they (are supposed to) support while they are doing well?

Funny thing is, I could almost picture what the fella would be like :)

Next live game I go to, hopefully I'll be rich enough to afford a hospitatlity suite and not have to listen to that type of sheeeeeee-ite (y)

Completely agree with the OP about the booing, which is why I didn't boo

That said though, that first half display really was dire

Sums up football today. It's all so tacky and shite.

Completely fell out of love with the game these past few years which is a shame because we have had a cracking side for the most part.

Booing at football is pathetic. I don't even boo the opposition. Wasted energy. Would rather put that towards supporting my club despite not being overly impressed with the goings on since, well, December 2011 to be honest! Pathetic January window, poor run in, both costing us CL and then bringing in AVB, tinkering with squad in a mediocre window for us leaving us exposed. Add our almost laughable start on the field and I think I have good reason not to be impressed! Still would not contemplate booing.

No point even going over it is there, it won't change the fact that people love to moan instead of trying to be positive
