You know thats a big fat lie dont you

Everyone says the same thing, but in truth, you love it just as much as the next man..otherwise be fair, what would you be doing reading/posting in this thread.

Those that truly hate the ITK stay well away from such forums or articles and you will not see them post or be present within such a discussion.

As for the rest (including myself) - dont deny you love a little bit of gossip. He said, she said, I heard this. Kaka coming to the Lane, and Barcelona busy chasing Dawson because my mates dad who just happened to be working as a cabby in Barca was dropping him to the Nou Camp.

I love how every ITK information is always 100%.

Like they don't realize how quickly things can change when it comes to transfers.

Official site, or BBC, 100%. ITK, something to make SpursKing excited.

In Millhouses defence, he only says that Defoe is a Yiddo, that could mean being a spurs fan for all we know.

And for those taking the piss out of every TIK is 100%, he hasn't said that once.

I actually think this Defoe transfer will happen. This is the one transfer i'm most expecting to happen in January. Despite people being under the impression that he cant sign in January. Even though there would be absolutely nothing wrong with this transfer happening in January. That rule is there for a reason, and this isn't on of them.

Just stumbled across this....

Jermain Defoe will not be allowed to return to Spurs during the transfer window.
Although the final say will go to the Premier League board.

Rumours persist the England striker could be heading back to White Hart Lane next month to be reunited with Harry Redknapp.

Yet Premier League rules prohibit a player returning to a club they have left within the previous 12 months.

Although Defoe signed in the last January transfer window, it was only completed permanently in the first week of February.

With this year's window shutting at 5pm on February 2, it means 12 months haven't passed since he arrived at Fratton Park for keeps.

The rule is designed to stop clubs getting around the loan system by transferring a player backwards and forwards.

However, a loophole exists which allows a club to appeal to the Premier League board should they feel the player is entitled to return within 12 months.

Each case is judged on its merits by a three-strong panel consisting of chief executive Richard Scudamore, Sir Dave Richards and general secretary Mike Foster.

It is rarely called into action, although in the summer of 2005 Chris Powell was given permission to return to Charlton.

The left-back had previously left the Valley for West Ham in December 2004 in a deal which took him to the end of the season.

Once that expired he was a free agent and, in the interests of not depriving him of the chance to continue his playing career, Charlton were given the green light to sign him once again.

Of course, Defoe still remains a Pompey player with the club insisting they do not have to let any more of their stars leave following Lassana Diarra's departure.

Besides, Spurs will not be allowed by the Premier League to sign him – in theory anyway.

So we can appeal to the Premier League, and i really cant see this transfer not being allowed to happen. Especially if we pay Portsmouth more than they paid for him.

Especially if we pay Portsmouth more than they paid for him.

I would be astounded if Daniel Levy sanctioned a transfer purchase of a player we sold less than a year ago for more money than we sold him for.

Those who do not learn from their past are condemned to repeat their mistakes. Defoe was never good enough for our starting 11 and he still isn't. Alongside Downing and Heskey this is the one transfer I really hope doesn't happen.
