Eto would be a disaster.

A: He is the best striker in the world
B: He is Ledley king when it comes to injuries

More risk taking by the board. I think he averages half the games injured since joining with Barca. I heard he only played 30 games in La liga in 2 seasons. 15 games a season.

It's now on Marca website.

Barca want 35Million euros for him. That is 27.7 M pounds.

Thats too much. More than Torres cost and I cant see him making the impact Torres did.

The Premiership is dominated by strong pacey strikers these days (Drogba, Torres, Adebayor, Carew, Yakubu etc). The obvious team missing there is Man Utd but the way they play is dependant on the front 3 (Ron, Roon and Tevez) and the way they interchange and read each others game.

I cant brush off the feeling that if we dont replace Berba with the right type of partner for Keane then we will seriously regret it. I'm sure some of you will argue that Eto'o is strong but he looks pretty skinny to me and I cant imagine he's that difficult to muscle off the ball.

A. Yes, one of.
B. No he isn't. He is Jonathan Woodgate.

Any player can get injured, he is worth the risk.

C. You are gibbs

Why do ppl say Eto is past it...

14 in 14 this season says a little different.

Top top top player - with a slightly bad gangsta attitude.

No he is the best. Almost one in every game IN LA LIGA.

He is the best striker in the world. You know this because I am Gibbs and a negative Nancy.

Seriously, he is just like Torres, but better. He is faster, and as strong. You could puch him off the ball, if you could catch him. Very exciting player.

So then the Spurs younglings will love him. Lennon, Hud, BAE, Prince etc will all be wearing his colors.

Remember how much Davids helped out Lennon? They tend to respect that macho aspect more than the good guys like Hughton IMO.

I'll take your word for it as your name suggests you watch alot more La Liga than me. Therefore, I'm now a little excited by the prospect of Eto'o in a Spurs shirt.

With regards to Torres, before he came to the Premiership alot of people were sceptical because of his average goal scoring record in Spain. His succes is being put down to the fact that his style of play suits the Premiership much more than it did La Liga. This is quite surprising considering people always say the Premiership is so hard for foreign players to adapt to.

With this in mind, plus the fact that you say Eto'o is just like Torres but better, he could be a huge success and get a hell of a lot of goals (providing we have a midfield to support him).

Just been watching RAI 1 teletext and they have it that Spurs have officially enquired about the possibility of signing Eto'o. They said that discussions are at an advanced stage. Barca are asking EUR35M.

Guileme Balague was just on Sky Sports News and said that Eto'o could well be moving to spurs, Man City had made enquiries before and Eto'o seemed interested as he wants to play in England, Barca want him out according to Balague, they want at least 10 players to go, he said Spurs have the cash to buy him and Barca are interested in the offer, all we have to do is agree with Eto'o.

And to be fair, Madyid is a Real fan and inclined to hate Eto'o for a plethora of reasons. So his being in high praise, speaks volumes.

Strange how it's suddenly starting to sound like a real possibility. I wont get too far ahead of myself, but I'll get the shirt printed Monday.

I think there's to much to this to be rubbish, he probably was at the Lane the other week with his agent afterall. Barca sub him every game that he plays probably so he doesn't pick up an injury. So much ITK on him aswell as paper talk. Let's hope its not one of those saga's that go on all summer.

I'll be watching the whole match tonight just to see if the commentators say anything relating to Eto'o/Spurs.
