Did a bit of research and it seems Obertan is a 19yr french

striker and Howson is a 19yr midfielder for leeds.

Obertan is a very tricky, explosive striker. Think a better Walcott. An ideal 4th striker.

Howson is a passing ACM. Like Gary McAlister at his best in style.

Both will be squad players if they're pulled off, although Howson will be from DC's 'for the future' budget, while Obertan will come out of Defoe's money. Neither will therefore affect the overall summer's budget.

£c.6-7m for the pair.

Think I've seen Obertan on Setanta a couple of times. Looked pretty useful, assuming I'm thinking of the right player.

Tragically, scoutingmanagement.moon.0 seems to be down at the moment, so the most informed opinion is unavailable.

His physical stats (halfway through season 1) are very good for an 18 year old, but technical and mental attributes have a lot of catching up to do.



Plus, we've already got Taarabt, do we need another Zidane/young Henry type of player? :razz:
