'my friend works with Berba's mum as a nurse:

from 2 weeks ago, she is due to talk to her again in a week:

He had problems with Jol, he really gets on well with Ramos. Ramos has told him he will build the team around him and Keane. Big signings planned in midfield to work for the 2 of them. He is more than happy at spurs and it is 80% that he will be at spurs next season.

I will let you know in 2 weeks but this was info direct from his mum and I have pictures to prove it but I am not going to post them.

You never know what is going to happen though. The transfer market only takes one big move and then players start moving all over the shop. I for one hope that is true though, would love Berba to stay

Apparently Berba's mother Margarita was a professional handballer! I suppose being a nurse may involve handling balls.

well ITKs are varying again - here's hoping Berbs stays - especially cos it would mean a whole of investment to convince him to stay had happened

That always makes me laugh....

Why would any player (or his mum) say he is 80% sure he will stay??

In my opinion you either want to stay or you don't. If its not 100% cant help feeling that if a big club meet the asking price, his ambition and his wages he will happily say goodbye.

Although of course i would rather he stay

This is where I am at at the moment - Levy may price him out of a move in which case he will be staying..and if Juande has told him, BIG IF, he will build around him and promised some quality Midfield signings..then why not?

The 20% is probably a 1 in 5 chance a big club will meet that asking price, said to be around the 40m mark...

Good news if true.

I'm convinced he'll stay (and was before this news). Levy will price him out of reach for most clubs. SAF has said only young players coming in at ManUSA and I'm not sure many other clubs will be able to afford the asking price/or prepared to blow most of their budget.

I can believe Ramos has promised to build the team around him so we'd better hope we can deliver on that! All the more reason for DC to get good business done early doors. And probably worth paying up a bit to get things locked down.

Imagine how good it would be if we kept him. Surely we'd get into top4 next season if we did so with our improved defence and mabye 3 new signings a LM,CM and GK and we'd have some fucking team then it'd just be down to Ramos and co to get the most out of them.

Almelia??

Hutton King Woodgate Bale

Lennon Zokora Mordric Capel

Keane Berbatov

Subs:
Alnwick
Chimbonda
Dawson
Malbranque
Jenas
Bent
New 4th striker??

Fuck me that would be a good team!

Either he'lll go to Italy or he'll stay, can't see anyone else buying him except PERHAPS Real.Madrid but even that is unlikely. So yea Inter,Juve,Milan possibly Madrid otherwise he's staying here :) :)

Luke i liked everything about your post, and then I read that you had Zokora in the middle of the park, and stopped reading. Shame really.

pretty certain his mom is in bulgaria, he did an interview a while back about the nurses thing, when he wore the armband, saying "my mother works as a nurse in back home in bulgaria" not a direct quote but along those lines anyway

IF we could keep him, it would be massive for the club..And IF we were to buy some new midfielders of the quality that would keep Berbs happy, then we could seriously take on the top 4.. We've proved this year that we can beat any of the top 4, but we need to be a lot more consistent, winning away at Brum, away at Villa, away at Blackburn (and home) etc, which is where the top 4 grind out their best results.. Thats how we get into the top 4... Fingers crossed this aint a wind up.

Thanks for the good news mate, and although I am not questioning the source it seems strange that your mate carries a camera around the hospital and takes photos during conversations with other nurses! They must wonder what he's up to!

Might have a mobile phone though

What is more dubious is why anyone would take a picture of Berba's Mum and then assume that anyone would have a clue who she is, unless this is in fact her. Even then would that prove the story?

Not sure about this one, but I like the idea of building a midfield around Berba and Keano. Not sure any of our current midfield will start next season as first choice.

With all the conflicting ITK, I suppose we get to choose which one to believe...

I'll take this one, and I will believe in it at about 36.7890 percent capacity.

I don't like the sound of 80%, we're better off as underdogs.

I want new ITK with Berba - 20% staying. Then I'll believe he will stay.
