BLUE = That which comes to be.
RED = That which does not (i.e., where there is an up-front denial).
ORANGE = Inconclusive (i.e., we have no idea whether the club had any real interest or not).

N.B. This is 'established' ITKs only, i.e., those with a record of providing reliable (or at least semi-reliable) information over at least two windows. l'Equipe isn't an ITK as such, but since it's provided spot-on news and been first with it, one of its journos must be. Hence its inclusion.

l'Equipe

First to link us with Kaboul. (29/4)

Archibald (SO)

Reported Spam and Barcodes interest in Bent. We offered £8.5m (rising to £10m with add-ons) which they accepted. If others come in, price may rise to £12m+. (13/5)

We have enquired about Hargreaves.Eek (13/5) Going price is £15m but we may offer Ziegler Eek and Tainio in p.ex. Apparently Bayern like Ziegler. (14/5)

Disagreed with Pablo over Bale and Barnes. Still real possibility of latter at least. (16/5)

Not too confident about Richards. Kaboul done, house-hunting soon. (17/5)

Re Hargreaves: we offered to match what Man U offered in transfer fee and wages. He wasnt interested at all. (21/5)

Taarabt contract signed, 3 years with option of another 2. (23/5)

Posted details of Bale deal. (23/5) [Unfortunately, not the right ones, it would seem.]

Bale medical for definite this morning, Personal terms and agent fees still to be sorted. (24/5)

Bale medical done. i think it will be announced tonight or tomorrow morning. (24/5)

We are hoping to announce three signings on 1st June. (25/5)

Kaboul over on Mon/Tues and one more within a week.
Then the clearout begins! Then maybe a couple more. (25/5)

Nani: meeting on Sunday to determine how much we will go to £-wise. Arrangements to go to Portugal on Weds if all on board agree He has a buy-out clause of €30m but Levy thinks he can get him for €20m. Jol isn't 100% convinced—rates player but wants more experience and is worried about upsetting Taarabt. Main problem is player wants to go to Man Utd. [But of course the world and his wife knew that!] (25/5)

Spammers have offered Makelele a 2 year deal. Reminded everyone he said we'd agreed a deal for NRC in January. (27/5)

Chimbo stuff pure rumour. He has said he wants to stay, Jol loves him. Sure he will stay. (28/5)

Kaboul is here on Friday (promise). Should be announced over weekend if not before. (30/5)

We have definitely enquired about Smith as reported in the Sun. He is back-up if the Bent deal doesnt happen. ManU obviously would want Berby but have also enquired about Defoe. We said no to both but countered by asking about Heinze! (1/6)

Meeting up with Kaboul tomorrow [Saturday] afternoon. Signing should be announced this weekend. (2/6)

We have definitely enquired about Smith as a back-up if the Bent deal doesn't happen. ManU obviously would want Berby but have also enquired about Defoe. We said no to both but countered by asking about Heinze. Commolli said: "We stepped out of the Portuguese race, now give us a break. Gill then said: "We left Bale to you." (1/6)

Villa back in for Defoe, have offered £8m. We are thinking about it. (2/6)

"We are back in for Ribéry, but Arse are sniffing around. Bayern have agreed a fee which we have matched. 'Just been told it could be a smokescreen—though don't know who for.' (5/06) [Confirmed info posted earlier on SC by Tomspurs.]

We have offered Valencia €20m for Silva and are also in for Sneijder. (12/6)

We matched Bayern's offer for Ribéry, but was told we were trying to sign someone else! We made an enquiry about Giuiy. Levy doesnt want him as he is too old but we may still sign him. Newcastle, Boro and Celtic have offered more wages. (13/6)

Levy is pissed off with West Ham as they are putting spanners in every deal. Bent was agreed but now not as Charlton want as much as possible. Spam have offered him 100k a week. In a meeting it was decided we would go to 12.5m max for Bent and switch our attention to Huntelaar if we don't succeed.

Huntelaar wants a CL team though but Jol feels if we get Sneijder we could get Huntelaar!
(13/6)

We are after Quagliarella big-time. Kaboul not now buying the house and wants to rent for a period to get to know area. Still done deal but not confirmed yet. (13/6)

marcspurs claimed that we would offer our ceiling price of £12.5m plus TG or another lesser squad player for Bent, with another player (e.g. Alnwick or BAE) on a season's loan, with the proviso that the latter can be recalled at any time. Archibald replied that this was 100% correct. '£55k a week though. Bent prefers Spurs, but I don't think we have a chance.' (14/6)

Bent medical should be on Sun/Mon. Fee NOT agreed yet. Spurs wont budge over £13m (£9.5m up front and add-ons). Charlton want £14m but there is still talk of Gardner in as a make weight.
Lee has been told we want to keep him but he is free to talk to other clubs. We have 3 targets if he leaves: Drenthe, Baines and Lahm. Assou-Ekotto may leave also; he has fallen out with Jol. Mido is off, but still unclear as to where. Defoe is still an issue; he wants to stay but probably won't (???). We are still fighting with Villa over NRC. Our top LM sided target was Silva. Still interested in Petrov but he is too injury prone for Jol's liking. If we sign one of the above left backs we may start Bale in midfield and not sign a left winger. We are also in the market for another GK (AlnwickCerny poss leaving) but only one of those should happen. poss out on loan and After Bale and Kaboul (99% done) we should sign another 3 players and let go of 4 or 5. (23/6)

SWP is going to cost a lot and will only be available if they sign Malouda. Diarra could come in if we sell Lee, but they have asked about Defoe and Chimbonda, as we know—this could go on and on. (1/7—but a couple of days old.)

£5m for Drenthe with Ghaly going the other way. Chelsea after him too. (2/7)

Kaboul will definitely be announced today or tomorrow, but has 100% signed already. He is moving in with Taarabt for 6 months whilst he buys his big house in Chigwell! (3/7)

I've been told it [Kaboul deal] was done a while back and had that confirmed yesterday so i really don't know! (4/7)

A deal for Barnes was set up for the end of season but he stated he would stay if they got promoted. He still may move. We had first option on NRC. We wanted him, but have now switched targets and decided against it. I dont know why, but the reason it has taken so long with Villa is because we had a deal agreed but have now declined. (4/7)

We have offered Barca €5m for Motta. (10/7)

Boateng's agent here at weekend for talks. Player still undecided on Spain or here. (12/7)

Four officials going out to Spain or Italy tonight for "big talks", no further information. (13/7)

Didnt go tonight, may be Sunday or Monday. Main interpreter is going—speaks French, Italian and Spanish (13/7)

City have offered £3m rising to £4m for Gardner. It will go to £3.5m rising to £4.5m. He has been told he is 4th/5th choice and can stay and fight for his place but is free to talk to other clubs. Villa and Birmingham interested too. We may use the money for Davies if he goes. Three more to sign, Rose, KPB and one other. (14/6)

Boro have offered £2m for Mido which Levy won't accept. He wants Boro to underwrite the terms of our deal with Roma—X up front and the rest, up to £4.5m, based on various things. We have so far outlaid £1.65m and we are ready to wipe the loss if the rest of the debt is undertaken. That makes £2.85m but Levy will push for more! (16/6)

SWP: offered £10.5m final bid—City, Newcastle and Liverpool also interested.
Petrov: the 4 staff went to Spain to do the deal—agreed at £7.5m but SWP is first option and this will happen if we can't secure him.
Rose: done—medical this morning, loose ends to tie up.
KPB: gone quiet.

Out: Ghaly and Mido definitely
; Gardner—2 offers on table, his choice; Murphy—2 low offers, we want more; maybe Lee. (17/6)

Petrov coming as SWP staying put unless they lower asking price. Chimbo wants to stay but we may let him go if Chelsea offer more than £12m! Murphy and Routledge next to go after the Egyptians. Still don't know why the Rose deal has gone quiet. (21/7)

Fee for Petrov agreed. Just personals to complete and a rigorous medical. If this and Rose go through expect one more. (25/7)

We missed out on Petrov as he was offered £60k a week. Fee was agreed—more than City were offering. Medical was arranged but we offered 'only' £30k a week. Berby is upset!

We have other irons in the fire—still expect two more. Rose is done, one more definitely but maybe two. Four to leave. (26/7)

Murphy definitely off, will leave within 10 days or so. Three teams interested but he is talks with one. (30/7)

BEN (FTL)
Defoe deffo off. Bent tied up apart from medical. (12/5)
Davies (Curtis, not the return of Simon) very close. (13/5)
Repeated Saturday's info about Bent and Defoe, with addition that the board may step in to stop JD going because DL really likes him and thinks he's been wasted. Kaboul was here over weekend, nothing about Bentley. We are also interested in Ben Haim.(15/5)

Kaboul done 110%. Confirmed Dragon's Bale, Bent and Richards stuff.(17/5)

Who's that coming over the hill to the Chelsea??? Could be on??? We have given Bale an ultimatum. Time for the boy to decide or we move elsewhere. (20/5)

Wolves offer for Keane turned down. Levy is still tempted to double his money on Chimbonda. (22/5)

Bale fee agreed! 'I think we're there, lads.' Bale being picked up this evening, medical tomorrow. (23/5)

Bale 'nailed down'—medical this afternoon, will be announced this evening. Kalaboul (sic) 'done and dusted', will be announced Monday. Bent will be done in the next week, club are 'confident'. Don't rule out Crouch or Pedersen. It will be a very busy summer. (24/5)

Did a BOF and contacted club in order to confirm Pablo's Berbatov story is bollocks. Will be more than shocked if Bale fails to sign. (24/5)

"Bent wants Spurs and Spurs want Bent. Will happen, I'm pretty sure. From what I'm told money not the issue here." (25/5)

We will go very hard for Nani. Contact already under way. Robben not happening. (25/5)

Kaboul will be signed on Monday afternoon, Tuesday at the latest. (27/5)

Repeated Kaboul info. 'Massive' chance Defoe will be going. If we get a replacement we will take £10m for Chimbo. Getting rid of Ghaly and Mido a priority. Jol is happy to let Salty and TT see out the last year of their contracts. (28/5)

Kaboul will be tied up, not sure why not announced yet. I'll check today. (30/5)

Bent should sign when comes back from hols. Heard this from Charlton source and Spurs source. Agent Spurs fan to same one who is Andy Reid's :)shrug:). Comoli was in Portugal for Nani at the last minute, and they're disappointed they didn't get him. Parker i know f**k all about, will try to find out soon. (Later) We are apparently trying to scupper it, but might be too late—no move had been made as of today.

The guy said to me no problem with Kaboul medical and wasn't aware why not announced yet. As i said it was due to be announced last Tuesday, but he said as far as he's told not a problem still. They know we need a left winger now at last. (31/5)

'Kaboul all done. My pal's having a beer with him now.' (2/6)

It's 100% done [Kaboul] just don't know why we are not announcing but it's all done from his own mouth. (4/6)

'As far as I know Bent should not be too far off as it was last week.... ' Was told by Alex Clayton :)shrug:) that Diarra is close. (12/6)

Torres is an option and they just won't be ripped of with Bent, but Jol likes him and wants him. i will know a lot more on everything tomorrow. What i do know is with Petrov all depends on his injury and how it is after the Spanish season. We definitely want Sneijder but Ajax have to agree to let him go and 3-4 other clubs want him.

Two bids for Sneijder turned down. We are lining up a third. Jol really likes him and wants him very much. We will be patient with Bent. Again, Jol likes him—thinks he's powerful and would be a perfect partner to Berbatov and Keane. Petrov: all depends on his knee—if it's fine it looks like he will be ours. The Curtis Davies thing continues. Before Kaboul we were definitely going to get him, but we chose Kaboul. Now with Ledley's injury we know we need more so told we will move again for him. If Crouch was gettable as many know now Jol would also have liked him, but looks like Liverpool want to keep him. [BEN is now on holiday.] (16/6)

From San Francisco, via Noodles: Bent all done, going for SWP and Petrov. (27/6)

Jol wants SWP badly, sees him as next best thing to Robben. [Shamelessly added that he'd met SWP in the States.] 'i think this will happen.' Lennon's long-term future could be in doubt—Jol's not a massive fan. Petrov we can get and would not be too unreasonably priced, but we need to see on his knee and we want to do SWP first. Defoe loves it at Spurs but was fed up with the rotation. Do not be surpised to see him going to Chelsea for a deal with SWP. (28/6)

Not sure why Kaboul has taken this long, but will be officially announced tomorrow. They intend to take the whole window to complete the squad. (2/7)

Basically repeated info posted 28/6 re Petrov, SWP and Defoe. Might possibly do deal for Chimbonda if Chelsea come back in, but don't want to be left with just Stalteri by 30th August. Heard nothing about Boateng, Mido proving hard to get rid of. Clubs have to match his wages and he likes London. (11/7)

Boateng deal not close. As Noodles said, maybe no deal at all at the moment. Financial difference at moment, not yet agreed as stated [in press?]. Not saying it won't get done, but no deal agreed yet as said by club (Hertha?]. Maybe tommorow, who knows? But spurs annoyed at those quotes at moment. Right from top, this. (12/7)

Rapidly followed by:

Ok, change on Boateng, they will make it happen. The same person who texted me the news has just told me now they are talking to Germans as we speak, but the fee agreed was not true at that point. One more on way, he doesn't know who yet. (13/7)

The one more on way possibly a bigger signing than Rose, but don't hold me to that… (13/7)

… I'd imagine Petrov. I'll try to find out today… (13/7)

… just spoke to man he said not Petrov this one who could happen as well as Boateng. We are doing all we can to get rid of Ghaly and Mido, and want Murphy to go, and want Defoe to sign or go. :sleepy: (13/7)

Not heard any more on SWP this week but he's the one Jol wants and has been all summer after Robben and Crouch never happened. (16/7)

As far as my man knows we're not in talks [about SWP] but Jol trying to persuade board to get him. We made one bid a few weeks back but they wanted silly money and a deal involving Chimbonda. Boateng should be sorted, we can have him if we want him, but we're looking into a few options…

Rose doing medical now. Chelsea tried to nick him at the last minute but he said he wasn't interested. Petrov doubtful, probably going somewhere else now (not money). (17/7)

Looks like Chimbonda will stay, and it now seems that they will push on with Petrov. It should be resolved when they get back from South Africa. No more updates on SWP. No bid apart from the first time when they aseked for Chimbonda, but apparently Jol still does want him quite badly. (23/7)

At the moment my man is in South Africa with team. i spoke to him 15 mins ago. At this point we have made no bid for SWP, but Jol wants him above anyone. (26/7)

Nothing going on with SWP. Boateng should be concluded this week. Ghaly going for sure, probably today. Mido in talks with Boro. Murphy talking to a few clubs and will be gone, hopefully by end of week to. (30/7)

Boateng passed medical. Terms not [agreed] yet. Interest in Kallstrom. (31/7)

Rumour I am hearing is about Bent now saying he is f**ked off and wants to go. Rumours Man U want him. If this is true this is the most ridiculous thing ever. (25/8)

Dragon1(COYS)

MJ wants LM, LB, CM, CB and striker (JD replacement). Bent and Kaboul should happen this week. Checking out Davies reports. BAE may be on way out. Mido and Ghaly out. (14/5)

Villa want Defoe. (16/5)

Confirmed Kaboul. Bale next ahead of Bent, Bent still very much happening. We are also after Micah Richards.

Backed up Ben's Chimbo to Bridge story. (21/5)

Segers says that Alnwick isn't good enough to challenge Robbo whilst Cerny is coming to the end of his career. Strong likelihood we will go for a keeper. Jol has asked DC to keep an eye on Crouch's availabilty as Mido's replacement. (22/5)

Bale being picked up this evening, medical tomorrow. Kaboul medical Monday. (23/5)

Rubbished Pablo's Berbatov story. Claimed Bale has signed. (24/5)

Berbs 100% staying. Chimbonda 'deal' depends how much Chelsea want to pay. (25/5)

Kaboul had medical Sunday, deal imminent. Comolli very hopeful of signing Nani, off to Portugal this week. (28/5)

Kaboul apparently having the second part of his medical over the weekend —is that normal? MGP has blown us out. (31/5)

Was told on Sunday Kaboul was pretty much done and dusted. Will not be announced till 1st July due to terms of contract. Done deal, though. We are still very hopeful about Bent but the transfer could well roll into July. (6/6)

Petrov is the one we want, Ribéry was never an option; wages/fee were far too much for us. (8/6)

The speculation re Curtis Davies is exactly that, just pure speculation. We have not been in touch with West Brom recently. i will let you know if that changes. (14/6)

Wilhelmsson stuff just agent punting; Jol doesn't rate him at all. It's Petrov who we want for the left wing position. We are struggling to shift Mido, Ghaly and Murphy—all offered as makeweights in various deals. Bent is not gonna happen overnight. (16/6)

We want a striker, a driving midfielder and a left winger and intend to buy top players for all all 3 positions. The money is there irrespective of who goes and this is on top of signings of Bale and Kaboul. We are very confident about Bent; it is really a matter of when not if. Petrov is the left winger we have earmarked. 'Neither Torres nor Sneijder have been mentioned to me at any point thus far.' (20/6)

Reprised last summer's info re Torres and Berbs—i.e., DC didn't think they'd work together. Felt it's unlikely he'll have changed his mind. We won't buy a bench warmer for £20m+. They think Bent and Berbs will be one heck of a partnership. DL will play hardball, but we have the funds to get top players in. (22/6)

Bent is on his way, medical tomorrow, signing Sunday or Monday. (22/6)

Reported board and coaching staff glee over Henry's departure. They really believe we can break into top 4 next season. A lot of them, including DC, think Wenger's off this summer as well. MJ wants us to buy SWP and is pushing for him. It looks like Lennon may not be fit for start of season. (22/6)

Bent will now be Mon or Tue at the earliest—nothing to be concerned about, it's still very much on. (23/6)

We were interested in Faubert only if Chimbonda went to Chelsea. We could have had him but Chimbo is now definitely staying. (24/6)

We are going to leave Bent alone for a few days and hope Charlton see sense. We will be back in and still think we will get him, but they are going to have to compromise because we aren't going up much, if at all. (25/6)

Bent not done, but fee now finally sorted. He will be at ours tomorrow [Thursday] to finally complete things. (27/6)

Bent's done most of his medical, all is ok so far. With a bit of luck, could be announced tomorrow. (Later) All done, he will be wearing number 23 next season. (28/6)

Our next priority is an out and out winger, and SWP and Petrov top the list. It will be one or the other. Chelsea will sell SWP but want £15m. We won't pay that at the moment. The money is there for a winger and a midfielder. Keane may play deeper at times now behind Bent and Berbs, thus we are not in for Sneijder as they think Keane can play that role just as well. There is no truth in Diarra either. West Ham bid £20m for JD, but he won't go back there for all the tea in China. He may well still stay. DC definitely wants him to. They will sit down with him and see what he wants to do. If RK plays deeper then we need JD as back-up to Bent and Berbs.

DC very excited about Kaboul, who will be announced in the next 72 hours. Bale was bought primarily for his set pieces; they know they were shocking last season.

Apparently agents are throwing every kind of name at us. Most are paper talk. (30/6)

Not sure whether we have made an offer for Drenthe or not. DF thought he had a great tournament but had reservations as to whether he would cut it in the premiership. (2/7)

Kaboul to be announced tomorrow. Very little else going on. Ledley highly unlikely to be fit for start of season, realistically looking at early-to-mid September. He,
Lennon, Chimbonda, Tainio and Dawson are out of Saturday's game due to injury, although only he and Lennon are long-term. (4/7)

Chimbonda is going nowhere. Chelsea haven't been back in touch since they enquired about him weeks ago and we haven't spoken to Chelsea since we asked about SWP and were quoted £15m. DC is working on things, but there is nothing imminent and I do not yet have names, but there will be more signings before the summer is out. (5/7)

We're still interested in Petrov. I'm trying to establish whether we will buy both him and SWP, but he is still definitely a possibility. (9/7)

Petrov favoured as he is available for an awful lot less than SWP, plus it will keep Berbs happy. MJ favours SWP but unless Chelsea budge from their £15m it sounds like we are far more likely to sign Petrov. No exact figures for Petrov, just a lot lot less than SWP. (10/7)

We are fairly confident about George Junior (KPB). I'd say 70/30 chance of it happening at moment. Updates as things happen. Obviously he is the driving mid they want. MJ said he wanted five at end of season, KPB will hopefully be fourth and Petrov now favourite for left wing position. That will be final jigsaw in puzzle :)lol:).

We are still struggling to shift our deadwood. Very little interest in Murphy or the Bangle Brothers at moment. (13/7)

Two more signings, a holding mid and a winger. KPB is obviously the midfielder. (13/7)

Very hopeful re Boateng, just checking out his temperament, still a very promising situation. Rose wanted to come but wants immediate first team football. We want to loan him out for a year, still working on him.

City have offered £4m-£5m for Gardner. We have a new head doctor/chief physio called Diesel. Bale ok and will go to South Africa, Moniz working v hard with Taarabt. Spirit in camp is v good. (14/7)

We are trying to renegotiate the fee for Boateng; Levy is concerned about his knee injuries. He has not had a medical yet. Rose had a medical this morning. We are still trying for both SWP and Petrov. Both are ongoing situations, and depending on fees there is an outside chance we may buy both. SWP is probably a priority as Lennon is a long way from fitness—he is not going to South Africa. Ekotto has not been seen because he is having treatment for injury and is nowhere near fit. Lee is also injured. Trying to offload Mido, Ghaly and Murphy before season starts. (17/7)

Boateng close to signing. should happen in next couple of days. Ghaly to Brum should also go through. (30/7)

SWP not happening. Chelsea are basically pricing him out of a move as they see us as a threat. Another centre half is on the menu. Curtis Davies is now a possibility but DC has his eye on someone else who is either Czech or Romanian. (31/7)

Dismissed Taarabt to Southampton loan rumour. SWP not happening now. 'The only addition I've been told we are going to make is a centre half.' (7/8)

As things are quite delicate all i will confirm right now is that Ramos is 100% up for the job. He is not on good money at Seville, plus they are a selling club so he is happy to come. My understanding is he can wait a few weeks to come. It does not have to be done before la Liga starts but that is not to say that the change may not happen this week cos it might, but do not read too much into that as i have not had it confirmed yet (i.e. that MJ is going before Man U)

When i can say more about the whole episode i will. One thing i was holding back until after Jol went has now been posted next door by Ben, so I'm now happy to confirm that Jol did speak to Newcastle behind their backs and we found out and were extremely fucked off. This was a year-18 months back during the Souness-Roeder regimes. (20/8)

Dismissed Diouf link on FTL. ('I mentioned him to Damien some time back and he told me the lad's a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic'.) (20/8)

Dragon1 (continued)

Clearly the club are orchestrating MJ's departure. MJ obviously never demanded we sell Berbs after Sunderland but Berbs did throw a massive wobbly over being subbed and over our failure to get Petrov. The board were highly unimpressed with his tactics at Sunderland and Berbs' substitution. What is true is that at times DC and the board have been shocked by some of MJ's recommendations re signings. At the beginning of the summer MJ was up for selling Berbs if he could get Crouch on the basis that he could have the rest of the Berbs money to strengthen other team areas. DC and DL thought he was bonkers as we are building a team round Berbs.

The other one that lost MJ a lot of respect was that last summer he wanted to swap Lennon with SWP. To say the board was less than impressed is an understatement

i was told on Friday night whatever happened against Derby was irrelevant. MJ is toast and Ramos is in the bag. We want him and he wants us. It's just a matter of time before the formalities take place. (21/8)

JurgenTheGerman(COYS)

'My friends in the North tell me the one who ain't straight has been downloading Gerry and the Pacemakers as of yesterday......not the sort of situation the little one likes.' (18/5)

Wondered if Petrov is part of Berbs staying. (31/5)

'All you have to do is stick an Alek in front of the name of a player we are trying to sign whose medical might take a while longer than normal and you are there… Good old Joe always thinks outside the box and who could be useful to him going forward. Not like some fat lump who is a walking advert for Greggs the baker who just mugged the City for a few quid… hmmn when the boat comes in. (11/6)

'The lady [presumably Dr. Charlotte] has all the X-rays and the scans. She is going to be the one who decides [who?] she signs off, then it's done and dusted… Woof woof.' (16/6)

Quoted Berlin's 'Take my Breath Away'. (11/7) (Believed to be a reference to Boateng.)

Quoted Elvis's 'In the Ghetto'. Boateng to be sorted by Monday. (13/7)

'Bury my heart at Wounded Knee'. No agreement on either [KPB, Petrov]. What Dragon said earlier this week has come back to me via the Black Forest. (18/6)

'My friends in the North' claim Petrov getting £55k a week whether he plays or not, no insurance on his injury. Stuff about City insiders' astonishment at Sven's profligate spending, etc. (28/7)

Interesting info from the top table of another premiership club… They convinced Ramos not join Spurs hinting it would do him no harm to wait a year on the basis that if they had a vacancy it was his. Wonder if they were woried about us joining the top four. This is the most plausible of all explanations as to his about-face. Have a 100 % faith in the source. (23/8)

Noodles(FTL)

Heard from another source Bent is "done".
(15/5)

According to Bent's agent, terms agreed subject to medical after Sunday [last Sunday?]. Kaboul over tomorrow to complete deal and medical.
[Not Noodles' 'own' info .] (15/5)

'Led to believe' Bent has signed. (16/5)

Posted a John Clare poem in lieu of any actual information on anyone. (17/5)

United have offered Richardson and cash for JD. Not accepted, but not turned down flat. (18/5)

Pompey put off for now by our valuation of JD, may be back, no idea what we wanted. (20/5)

Continuing in poetical vein, regaled the world with a piece of doggerel from Belloc… (20/5)

… and followed this with 'I've got you under my skin'. Claimed Bale deal stumbling on the 'I want to start every game' guarantee, and that the 'Big Boys' at WHL feel our coaches 'failed' Lennon last season. Jol wants Pedersen, DC thinks he's paceless. 'Bent Club' still feel he's ours. Again, a disclaimer on sources. (22/5)

'A mate up north' reckons Scum and Manure are ahead of anyone else in England regarding Gordon. Celtic are also in for him but he and Hearts prefer the English money. (22/5)

A 'real doctor' he knows is giving/has got appointments with Chimbonda and Richards next week. Spurs have a player booked in for Tuesday afternoon for a medical. (25/5)

Posted lyrics to the Archies' 'Sugar Sugar'. (6/6)

Quoted some crap verse from 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin'. (12/6)

Torres is on the menu. Atleti are interested in Mido. Levy is now looking at more bang for his buck. 'My own personal opinion is if we aren't going to out fight Wham for Bent how on earth can we see off Manure, Chelsea or Liverpool?' (13/6)

Quoted Phil Collins' 'In the Air Tonight' [not about Bent, apparently, but 'good news']. (25/6) (Now believed to refer to SWP.)

Further eclectic opacity with Wilde's 'Les Ballons'. (6/7)

According to club sources the Boateng deal is far from complete. (12/7)

Defoe is going to stay and fight for a place, not signing a new deal as yet. Prince more confident but not done, at least two more signings. Bale fit, Bent and Taarabt looking good. (14/7)

Not trying to p1ss on anyone's [i.e., The Scout's] chips, have been told DC reckons we are interested but its nowhere near the will he or won't he stage [SWP] As I say, this is what I have been told. (17/7)

Ben's hearing stay of execution for a couple of weeks after a meeting of all parties. No more no less... (21/8)

CHUNKY(COYS)

(Courtesy of Dragon) Trying to sort another lefty next week. Double figures if it happens. Not a current Prem player and not Petrov. (25/5)

Heard from someone 'high up' at Chelsea that we can have SWP if the price is right and that we seemed very interested. (7/7)

mattjb (COYS)

Defoe for Bridge + cash i've heard this morning. Kenyon very keen but Mourinho wants to keep Bridge. Apparently we were offered Boulahrouz. (20/5)

Bent most certainly isn't a done deal. He has told Levy he wants to play for Spurs, but no fee/personal terms agreed. Other players might be involved and a number of things could go wrong. (15/6)

Been told there will be no movement on Bent while we think we have a sniff at Torres. ('Don't laugh…') (16/6)

GrahamRoberts (COYS)
Kaboul will be announced today and Bale tomorrow. (But then said his source for this wasn't 100% reliable. Despite this disclaimer it's still going down as wrong.) (21/5)

A disastrous mobile failure prevented him beating the BBC with news of Bale medical. (23/5)

'Bent, got a text this morning, saying looking likely but we are currently quite far away on price.' (From a 'good' source.) (3/6)

'I've just been told that all our business is done, with the Prince hopefully to be added.' From a director at the club via a bona fide contact. (13/7)

[Re SWP] 'apparently we've bid 10m and it's not been rejected, which suggests Chavsea are ready to deal.' (17/7)

Ward1848 (SC)

Bent on verge of signing for the Barcodes, who have outbid us to the tune of £5m. Apparently we are not his favoured move. No interest in Richards, and no chance anyway. Only interested in playing CB. (21/5)

Cabinessence (FTL)

Sneijder definitely not on our radar as of two weeks ago—not thought suitable for what we want at present, but things may have changed. We're looking for an out-and-out winger. At that time DL thought we might have to pay between 12m and 15m to get Bent. My man had never heard of either of the two names thrown at him by DL as beng the midfielders (CM & LW)we "were" looking at. (28/6)

MadridSpur (FTL)

Mido plus cash for Petrov. (23/5)

Petrov Coming to Spurs at end of season. Don't know how much. Agreed deal in principle with everyone. No news till end of Liga. (4/6)

Naybet (FTL)

Seconded what BEN said about Nani, but added that he is a long way off. Bent and Kaboul will be in soon. (26/5)

Kaboul is done ]and will be announced on the 2nd. Bent 99% happening. (18/6)

Danny Rose definitely joining tomorrow and maybe Boateng. (16/7)

Rose passed medical. Petrov 80% there, SWP 50%. (17/7)

Boateng will join today. (31/7)

Greaves (COYS)

Bale very close. (18/5)

The price for Bent is likely to be "considerably lower" than the figures being bandied about. There will be a lot of clauses but the total fee will still be lower than is generally being stated. Still a bit to go on negotiations from what i hear. (25/6)

The Scout (COYS)

Curtis Davies strong possibility, early days.. (10/7)

SWP should be done by the end of the week…

… all this maybe SWP etc., 50% etc., isn't true, he's coming to Spurs. I'd be very surprised if the info's incorrect, of recent times source has given me [too many to mention]. (17/7)

SWP not as done as i thought but still very possible—proper info from a proper source. No idea why or details, but genuine discussions ongoing between us and chelsea. (21/7)

We are 100% in for Riquelme. Jol WILL be gone within 2 weeks. (21/8)

Pablo (FTL/COYS)

No Bale and Barnes next season. (17/5)

£8million bid for Craig Gordon. Also added that this is from Scottish source and that price and interest level could be exaggerated. (21/5)

Contradicted everyone else on Bale. No fee agreed, long way to go. (24/5)

Claimed Berbatov's agent had arranged a medical for him at United on 28th. Fee £27m. (24/5) [Apparently more or less retracted this.]

Levy and Commolli will have talks with Sporting Lisbon in Portugal 'soon'. A 'less reliable' source says we're interested in Stephen Davis.

Berbatov will sign a €3m deal and could sign new contract in the next fortnight. Doesn't know if Dantchev still intends to talk to United. (28/5)

Petrov will cost us £8mill if we want him, which we seem to.

Barnes still likely in January at latest, maybe even this summer, as long as we offer full year loan back. (5/6)

Looks like Brucey boy might do us a favour (i.e., take Mido off our hands). Danny Murphy to Wigan £1.5m. (8/6)

We are sniffing around a Barcelona left winger. He's a Frenchie [Giuly?] Wigan are still after Danny Murphy, and the Brummies are laughing at our £5m valuation of Mido. (12/6)

'i am confident Bent is a done deal at West Ham. He is getting £75k a week. He has flown from Caribbean to meet Curbs and Eggert tomorrow. He's gone. forget him.' ('Bent is a whammer. 99 per cent. it'll be done tomorrow.') (13/6)

Standard Liege midfielder Marouane Fellaini, 18. Anyone hear this? £500k. (14/6)

We have made an improved offer of £14m for Bent. (19/6)

Defoe's new contract is still on the table, but he must sign soon. Starting point of £30k a week with a little room for negotiation. Jol is giving us three more years for sure. (1/7)

100 per cent fact that spurs have bid for Boateng!! (11/7) (Berlin papers come out before ours!)

SWP almost done. Cash only as far as I know, but i really don't know all the ins and outs. Just expect a deal by end of week. (16/7)

Mido to Brum, Alnwick in the clear. (17/7)

Been told Mido and Ghaly can't agree terms with Brum. Haven't had confirmed—will someone check? I'm hoping this isn't true, but someone thinks they are not as near sealed as we hoped. Same person now says Petrov flew to Manchester today to talk to City. (25/7)

King has had a setback. Behind schedule. Don't expect to see him in the side until end of September.

A winger of the name Castelen, 24, Dutch. Feyenoord? Has been mentioned to me. [Castelen signed for Hamburg 30/7!]. Petrov is on £55k a week at City. We wouldn't go beyond £29,000 plus win bonuses. Boateng wants to leave Hertha. He wishes it was all sorted out with Spurs. There are small things to be ironed out in the deal. What was said before about the wrangling over the fee does seem to be true. (26/7)

Heard that Mido was signing for Sunderland, £6m and £40k a week, medical tomorrow. 'I almost doubt my own info it is too good to be true… but I was right about the first Birmingham bid. (1/8)

Davies and his agent will be trying to engineer a move to Spurs in the papers tomorrow/over the weekend. (2/8)

We are worried about left side—put a bid in for Matt Taylor and were given ridiculous price of £8m. As far as I know we aren't interested at that price… trying a few players in package, but tbh I don't think we'll settle differences. (9/8)

As you know Jol and Levy meet tomorrow. Levy won't sack Jol —he knows that would be a PR nightmare. He is hoping Jol will jump because of the obvious lack of backing. Ramos was first touted in APRIL. (21/8)

Hoofhearted (COYS)

Offer made for Bent, Charlton trying to instigate a bidding war. Preferred choice is us. No medical arranged. We are after an experienced LB, LM, DM. (17/5)

Nothing will happen about Bent for at least 2 weeks. Offer is 4 years with a further 2 year option.

According to his Malaga CF source, we are after Sneijder. Our bid is €15m. Petrov is too much of a risk after his knee injury last year, apparently. (8/6)

DC, DL and MJ want Bent, who will be at WHL next season unless something very strange happens. None of them wants Defoe to leave, but they won't stand in his way if he decides he wants to leave and the price is acceptable. Berbatov is definitely staying. (11/06)

We will only be signing 4 major players this transfer window: Bale (done); Kaboul (done apparently); Bent (as good as done); we matched United's offer for Nani, so we are only after one left-sided player, Sneijder or Silva. If neither of those come to fruition then Giuily would be my other suggestion. Rubbished Star story about Bent. 'I spoke with the family yesterday, nothing has changed. He is not going to West Ham.' (13/6)

Darren Bent is Spurs
SM_yupi3ti.gif
SM_yupi3ti.gif
From the man himself, just got the phone 2 minutes ago. Don't expect an announcement from the club until 1st July. The fee will not be announced but it is nowhere near what we offered Charlton for him last January. BTW there is a real chance of further sanctions against Wet Spam. (14/6)

Bent all done by Monday, trying to get medical done today. At the moment I don't know what the final transfer fee will be, but I do know as of Wednesday there was a difference of £1m between what Charlton wanted and what we were prepared to pay. If I find out, and it doesn't prejudice anyone, I will let you know. (22/6)

'The medical starts at 3pm today at the training ground. His last scan is due at 2230 ish, so prob no statement tonight, prob earliest will be by Charlton tomorrow.' (28/6)

'Accordingly (apparently?) Kaboul is due at Spurs Lodge today.' (4/7)

I like it SS57, i like it alot. I'm not sure if you treat ITK's with the same cynicism as myself, but something tangible like this should seperate the bullsh*ters from people with genuine info.

Looking forward to see how this progresses - might be a more interesting thread than others.

Hmmm interesting to see how this is received. We all know that ITK's are a protected species, and as such are above reproach...

Who is Ali? Front page only?

I think he may well be. He was solid throughout the last window though. Not everything he said came through, but it seemed that he actually did know what was going on.

I wasn't sure at first, as what he was saying wasn't in line with what I was hearing from someone I know, but in the end he was right, and I was wrong.

How fucking great is this site right now!

SS57- Didn't Eduardosmartez have a shocker last few windows and lose his ITK status?

Stoofy edited out the info from the last window and just left the names in. I only just noticed EduardoSmartarse was still there. He's not ITK, just a bullshit artist, plain and simple. Gone.

 he really became a legend last window with his antics at The Lodge

Hope he's on form again this time around, and doesn't get himself arrested

I don't think Eduardo ever was an 'accredited' ITK, though, was he? Just a chancer who seemed to get all his stuff from the other ITKs and the press.

I don't remember Naybet posting anything in January, and Bonjourno disappeared after the 'Micah Richards done deal' catastrophe last summer.
