I seriously don't understand this move. Shoot me, but it leave us woefully short in the CM with Boateng off aswell.

As I can count we have JJ, Hudd, Wilson and Bostock who are specialists there. Luka can play there but he has been at his best for us on the left.

Wilson is the only aggressive ball winner, O'hara is not a patch on Wilson but he does a decent enough job and works very hard and chips in with goals and assists.

Unless we are bringing in 2 cm players before tuesday, one who can win the ball like Willy...I don't see the sense in loaning him out.

Obviosuly Arry knows what he is doing but Im just a bit worried now

There has to be a plan here, and one that O'hara agrees with, as he has just signed a new contrat. He must have known he was going out on loan before signing, and as such must have been assured that he is in Redknapps plans, else he wouldn't have signed.

I would imagine JJ is staying now, and 1 more signing before the window closes. And we can call him back from his loan if we need anyway.

Also, i imagine we have agreed he can't face us, or is that not allowed anymore?

Not best chuffed about this. As a poster said before I think he was back up for Wilson as our midfield ball winner. Still think he has a big future and am happy for the lad but not sure if this is the best decision. As long as he can't play against us when we meet Pompey. COYS

Gio on the left/Modric in the middle maybe?
Seeing as woody/Dawson are back soon, bassong could be utilised in a defensive left midfield position. Come to think of it im sure some of the itk's on bassong mentioned harry seeing bassong as cover for left back and defensive midfield aswell as CB.

Personally we should have signed O'Hara on a ten year contract, he's come through the academy and has great passion for the club...IMO his the club captain in waiting. He may not be the best midfielder at the club but his only 22-23 and will be better with age. I'm very surprised we aloud him to be loaned to Portsmouth's because at the moment his a good squad option we now don't have.

Charlie in the middle as mentioned by people previously? Not sure whether he can do a job there but an option?

I'm willing to believe the rumours that Pompey wouldnt buy Prince unless they got O'Hara on loan.

Otherwise this just doesn't stack up. O'Hara has come on in each game to add defensive stability to the left wing, so Harry obviously thought he was useful.

The OS are a bit slow tonight in announceing the sale of Boetang and the loan of O'Hara to Portsmouth.
Still the same today, probably coz it'll look a bit silly with pics of O'Hara playing against Doncaster and Arry saying how well he played. Then theres the article thats top at the moment about him signing a new contract.

They prob dont now want to embarrass themselves after all the pro-O'Hara propaganda by saying we had to loan him to Pompey just to shift Bwa-teng.

Hopefully they'll have him permanently as well.

That is a bit unfair. He hasn't out a foot wrong in recent appearances. Albeit against lesser opposition or from a comfortable lead.

Other than JJ I can't think of another CM in our squad that I would want to replace Wilson when injured/banned

every top club needs 5 natural central midfielders, specially for those sides using 4-4-2, 2 to start, 2 benchers and 1 backup coming up if there are injuries or subs, I would say O'Hara is good squad player for 5th option if we are playing in eroupa league, but we aren't .. so can't see him getting first team football which he needs.

and then you can't up to 4th in pecking order as bencher, he is still young without enough experience for a club looking 4-6 spots, considering to our competitors options, so sending him on loan to another EPL is good idea for us and O'Hara, he wouldn't improve him if he don't get enough games.

just hope we are after 2 CM, i meant signing Sissoko or Sandro ( as Zokora replacement ) , Muntari or Brown or Cahill ( only If JJ left ) , and Vieira or someone on loan like Anen as 5th option as O'Hara/Boateng replacement would keep squad depth. If we down to only 4 options, we lost our squad depth, missed our advantage and same mistake like last summer !
