How do we know he isnt top 4 quality? did anyone know De Gea was a top 4 quality before United, How about Courtois before his season loan at Athletico. Lets give him a chance before writing him off!!

They were around 20 when they got their big chance, not 30 odd or whatever Vorm is.

I agree in that sense most definitely, He is 31 and getting on, but what I am trying to imply is, why don't we give him a chance, he played 4 league games last season, he hasn't proved himself to lane faithful. I would give him a shot... (if we did lose Hugo).

Infact, im sure Edvin Van der Sar was 34 years old when he joined United. Prior to being a fulham.

The real bonus is that he is happy and accepting of the fact he knows that LLoris occupies first dibs for Premiership yet when called upon -- ie that third minute injury to Hugo in a league match, he is more than able of marshalling a porous back four.

To keep a top quality keeper as back up to an undisputed first choicer, is really difficult to do even with four competitions to rotate through.

I saw enough of him this season to know he isn't good enough to be a number 1 at a top 4 club. De Gea & Courtois were bought because of their potential and there is no one is the footballing world who didn't think they'd become world class. Hense why Utd & Chelski spent do much on them. I like vorm don't get me wrong but realistically he's nothing but a number 2 for a club like spurs (well for a club like we aspire to be)

I like Vorm, really he's as good as anyone who's been reserve keeper even Cudicini. Great back up but I never look at Hugo and think they should swap. I don't like the noises coming from Manure though. We need to stop being a feeder club and I'd like it to start with Lloris but I'm fearful.

Solid, bit static but some good saves, clean sheets and one bad mistake.
Doesn't have youth on his side
but we usually refer to that as 'experience'.
Need a youngster now to blood and bring through.
