If we really want to screw them on the Grealish deal we should send Sissoko the other way! Imagine they want Winks as a similar player and if so he'd have no intention of going...
No way that a genuine 1st team squad player will be going there. Fringe player such as CCV etc.

Is it more than one player that has no desire to go there? Sorry to be a pendant but “players” suggests more than one but “has” suggests only one.

Trix and Herc have both said in the past Villa wanted a couple of players on loan if we can't/won't pay the brunt of the cash up front.

I would imagine that Villa could use CCV and maybe Edwards to fill their gaps a bit.

Ccv has proven himself at championship level. Whether he'd get a prem loan is debatable though. Edwards doesn't really suit villas style of play does he?

@septicsac what do you disagree with mate? Ccv had a very good loan at ipswich. Admittedly i didn't watch too much of villa but other posters suggested they played a bit route one which wouldn't really suit edwards in my opinion.

I'll bite :cautious:. Actually imo Edwards plays more off the left and Grealish probably more off the right but they do have similar traits. If they kind of need a replacement then he could suit. Mind you Snodgrass plays off the right too but can also play left.

In Edwards’ ‘career’ (loose use of the word), he has played exclusively either right or central. Grealish used to play off the left but this season was used entirely in a central midfield 3.

My mistake e - got my rights and lefts mixed up. 100% correct and I did see it in my head, just not on screen. If you transpose what I wrote it does make sense.

Boyfriend just accused me of emotionally cheating on him with Jack Grealish’s legs.

Not strictly untrue tbf.

Tottenham ready to wait on Jack Grealish in bid to exploit Aston Villa's cash crisis

Spurs boss Pochettino believes Grealish can compete for a starting spot in his side

Spurs are set to keep Aston Villa sweating over Jack Grealish's future as they bid to exploit their cash woes.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino wants starlet Grealish to compete with Dele Alli.

Grealish, 22, is set to be sold as Championship Villa need to raise funds to help out embattled owner Dr Tony Xia.

Villa are looking to raise as much as £40million for Grealish after seeing Leicester agree a deal worth up to £25million for James Maddison from Norwich.

But Mirror Sport understands Tottenham are not rushing to bid big while Villa are digging their heels in.

Villa owner Xia is after fresh investment and recently had to get a loan to broker a deal with HMRC over an outstanding £4.2m tax bill.

Now Spurs may wait to see how Villa cope at the end of the month, when they are due to pay all their staff on June 29, before their next move.
