Football is reactive to innovation. The double pivot neutralised the zone around the d and now teams are going wide of that zone to find gaps. To do that, it means you relinquish the double pivot to free up players to play beyond the d. The teams that react quicker and more successfully inherit the football kingdom of their era

Intelligent and articulate comment... careful now!!! ?

After watching welcome to spurs video, he reminded me abit of Modric.

Great signing if we do get him, got all the attributes to be top Player, Poch and our coaches will direct him correctly plus he’ll be training with our world class squad everyday.

Btw Grealish is a anagram for hair/legs @freeeki

Am open minded about grealish and he could prove us all wrong. However at the start of the summer this signing was unacceptable. We wanted the club to show ambition and get their business done early. That hasn’t happened and now we’ll all accept this signing or any other mediocre signing as brilliant because all we want is a signing. It’s the same every year.
Information coming out of the club suggests we will pay top wages - new Kane contract proves this. It has been suggested we will pay top transfer fees as money is there - that should put spurs in a position to bid for players that would have previously been out of reach - I’m sceptical so far this window. All other clubs getting their business done early and we are waiting for the World Cup to finish when all of our targets haven’t been at the World Cup.

1. Who is 'us all'? Loads of Spurs fans are in favour of this transfer so you're not exactly speaking on behalf of the fan base.
2. Do you actually think we're just sitting there waiting for the end of the World Cup final until we start speaking to people?
3. How do you know 'all of our targets haven't been at the World Cup'?

Bit off topic, but Villa appear to have 2 per-season games planned for 3pm kick-off's today. Anyone know what one the first team are playing in? If Grealish is playing both can be streamed on YouTube for anyone interested.

All other clubs haven't gotten their business done early, lol. City signed Mahrez just the other day, Chelsea made their first moves yesterday/today.
Sure, some have made early moves but it's just flat out wrong to say all of them have.
