Of course not, but if there were real interest (hence us knowing that we're after Grealish - several reputable sources have said so) in a player you know as well as me that that information will get out, from one outlet or another. We're still daily linked with new players that are scattering around to clubs raging from Borussia Monchengladbach to Brighton. Just 2 minutes ago we were apparently linked with Quintero...

I'm sure the club know who our targets are. Whether it's in the papers or not is irrelevant.

Well we're 3 weeks from starting the premier league - by this stage we should be doing more than 'knowing our targets' - that's what I'm trying to say, because had we approached any of these said targets for real, we probably would have known about it, since it 99% of the time gets out in said papers. If we're still in the stage of knowing who we're targeting, we're once more doing business too late - Poch said he wanted a new approach this summer and he wanted any new signings to participate in the pre-season tour, which by all looks is not happening. He turned down Real Madrid - the biggest club in the world - for us (by the looks right now) to let him down. That we're haggling for Championship youngsters just adds salt into the wounds for me.

Not taking into account his magnificent performances against Real Madrid are you ?

One performance? I can tell you Winks has had far more terrible performances last season than he did good. Let's not forget how diabolical he was in the league cup against lower league opposition.

I'm still waiting for him to actually turn up in a PL game too.

And recent ITK says he knew we would be doing business late as usual and still signed an extension. I hope this thread doesn't turn into a "poch said we want to be brave" and 200 different interpretations of said quote. We've only just got back on track from pages of homegrown goalkeepers

I do find it weird that Tottenham Hotspur can keep everything so well under wraps but basically every other club is pretty open knowledge...

Honestly though what is the hold up of getting our deadwood out the door?

I guess this technically involves Grealish as we've been told incomings are being delayed due to not being able to get rid of our own players. Llorente, Janssen, Nkoudou, Sissoko, etc had all had basically 2 months to find a new club and we've got nothing on any of them?

Selling players is so easy, I mean it's not a complicated procedure at all.

Was speaking to a Villa mate of mine today about work and he brought up Grealish. He said....

he’s like Gazza when he was at Newcastle. Bundles of talent but a little wayward. Makes the team tick, can take the ball from the corner, take own 3ery body and set someone up. He’d had a kidney/liver problem which seems to have calmed him down but when the game is going against him he can resort to his old self. He said Poch will be very good for him and he’s glad he’s coming to Spurs but knows that Levy will have squeezed every last discount he can.

If they can't bring us a legit offer in 2 months that isn't exactly good news. The writing has been on the wall long before that with a few of those as well.

I'm not too sure but might be something to do with the £150m they got for Coutinho and the fact they are paying 50% over market value for every player. If you can't see the difference then there is no saving you.

Oh my.... you are as bad as the Liverpool fans. How far exactly does this Coutinho money go!!??
They also have bought VDV & Ox-Chamberlain too remember.....

If you cant see the difference between signing a kid from a championship side who are about to go bust and prising away the Brazilian national GK from a team who made the Semi-Finals of the CL last year..... then you sir are the one in which there is no saving.

This is the Jack Grealish thread. You're already spamming 8 threads over all this Liverpool bullshit so can you at least keep it out of here?

to many FM managers on this forum. you would think after the Willian fiasco Levy would try and do everything without it being public knowledge.

Man C did all the work on Jorginho, who has he signed for?

Yeah but what manager did they sign. Sarri would have told jorginho that he was going to them and he would play every game under him at chelsea. Plus the pull of london is a big deal for some players.

I'm sure many think the same about Eriksen, Dele and Son.
am very happy about this signing....think his potential is significant.
Would love the deal to be done before the US tour because I think that would assist his transition process....
