It makes up for the relocation some families have to go through. I believe it's covered up 'til 18, regardless of whether they player is retained that long or not - not sure how that goes for the siblings, if they're covered as well, but I imagine it's the case.

A colleague of mine has this with his kids at Norwich. Full fees paid for the kid at the club and a scholarship (partial payment) for their sibling.

City pick up another highly talented winger. A replacement for Sancho? Or more likely just a case of hoovering up more talent which will never see the light of day at City.

Manchester City pip Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to Ghanaian wing prodigy Aminu Mohammed

Pep Guardiola set to send new signing out on loan after paying £2million into Mohammed's home WAFA Academy

MANCHESTER CITY have pipped Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to Ghanaian wing prodigy Aminu Mohammed.

The Under-17 international impressed during a two-week trial at the Etihad club. Now City have paid his home country’s WAFA Academy £2million for him.

Mohammed, 16, caught the eye of City scouts while playing in a youth tournament in Qatar for Red Bull Salzburg.

His two goals helped them to a 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain.

The Austrians are a partner club to the WAFA Academy.

Spanish and German champions Real and Bayern also cast admiring glances at the winger, who has been likened to a young Neymar due to his goalscoring prowess and skill on the ball.

But City chief Pep Guardiola has won the race for the teenager, who is now set to be loaned out to a European club to gain first-team experience.
Thought it was against UEFA rules to sign kids from abroad. That's what Madrid/Barca got done for wasn't it??

The Kid's 32 years old.

Seriously though, how old he get a work permit? Or is he coming here on a student visa?

It would be good to get him. All gone quiet again though hasn't it so I'm assuming there are problems. Let hope they are ironed out in the next few days.

Non-story. They're not baffled. They know exactly why he's not turned up to training. He made his position clear months ago.

Yes, Shitty do know why Sancho's not around.

But the story has clearly been put out there by Shitty, so the questions are Why? and Why Now?

I suspect it's because they're either about to play hardball and not cancel his scholarship, and want to paint this young kid as a troublemaker. Or because they are preparing to do a deal and want to blacken his reputaiton to their fans before agreeing his release to the Mighty Spurs.

If they weren't prepared to do so in the Walker deal why would they for a player they need less than they needed Walker?

Because we were willing to sell Walker but Arsenal aren't willing to sell Sanchez?
