the official site is too busy posting On This Day in 1929 and updates on membership deadlines to deal with transfer news. 6m is a good fee, funny that the other week there was a story saying it was too much - usually a fee is agreed at the time of the loan arrangement.

Will be very pleased to receive £6 million for him.
Bearing in mind that nothing in the football transfer business is ever what it's claimed to be, I'd confidently predict that the headline figure is based on the assumption that HCFC win the ECL and a Nobel Peace Prize....

Happy to see this go through. Hes a good player no doubt, and has done well at Hull, but I always felt he wasn't good enough for us.

Good deal for both clubs.

He'll never make it at Spurs but did a good job for Hull last season. Interesting to see how well he does playing regularly as he's better than credit for.

Added to the 8 million received for Defoe in January , a few more fringe players out, and we may have a healthy budget to buy 3 or 4 players

Good luck to the lad. A proper Spurs fan and a more than decent footballer. Should have had more opportunities at Spurs than being used to defend 1-0 leads as an 80th minute substitute with orders not to cross the halfway line.

Sad to see him go, he looked rock solid for Hull last season. This funds to be allocated towards Cambiasso? I for one wouldn't mind the old geyser, he has grit, something our midfield lacks, one could say that Sandro has grit, but his fitness is always a gamble.

Would be a good move for Jake if made permanent, with the overkill of CM's we still have at the club he wouldn't get much game time. Bruce is doing a decent job there and they're being linked with players who will improve them again. Good luck to him.

Best of luck to the lad.

Did well for a season for Spurs as a DM, 2nd season maybe not as good. But then directly after that a 3rd season in PL at Hull on loan where he more than showed that he was a decent midfield player, who could IMO do a job as a squad player for Spurs but we are not short of midfield options.

So £6m is a decent price for one of the academy boys deemed not quite good enough for Spurs but still a PL player - even if the £6m includes some add ons.

If we sell one like Jake most years but keep a couple from the academy who seem better prospects (step forward Bentaleb, Kane, Pritchard et al), we pay for the acdemy and get almost free players - so how good is that from Levy's point of view !.

Sad thing is that I can see him getting into the England starting XI within the next twelve months....

Would never had got a start in anything other than the CC or EL and i think deep down he knew that. Average player who disappeared for Hull many times when the going got tough.
