I don't see this happening but would be a great signing. I think sometimes rather than seeing the position somebody has played its more useful to see the role they play in their team.

Maddison's position for Leicester has been as the 10 but his main role has been to be a really high volume shooter and a decent creative passer. Richarlison for Everton was more of a pressing maniac with decent dribbling and able to provide both a presence in the box and some threat in behind.

What we were already working with was:
Kane - Presence in the box, plus incredible creative passing
Son - High volume shooter, excellent in behind, decent creative passer, not much of a defensive role

Kulusevski - High work rate, high quality passing plus good finishing

I do think that Richarlison could replace Kane's presence in the box but you lose a lot in terms of creativity. Likewise Richarlison could replace Son's threat in behind add some defensive work rate but you lose the varied shot threat that Son brings.

Maddison for me would provide a really high quality balance to our options. If Kane were to be missing or rotated he'd allow us to replace some of his creativity and if Son were he gives us more varied threat in terms of shooting.

Its also worth noting that Conte refers to the job that Son and Kulusevski do as 'Wide 10s' as we preferably want the width to come from the wing backs.

No idea if Leicester would sell or what price they'd want but I don't buy into the idea that because Maddison has played most his minutes as a 10 he wouldn't fit with our squad.
Son attempted almost 50% fewer shots than Kane in the PL last season, yet scored roughly 30% more goals. Who's the high volume shooter?

Easy to buy good foreign players, trickier to fill your HG quota with good players too. Looking at the England squad and the players on the fringe, not many better than Maddison that aren't already at the top. Apart from Maddison and Guehi, they are all club captains. Coady, Mings, JWP etc

Maddison would be a great addition to the squad. He is a brilliant passer and has great control of the ball. He certainly offers something different than the other players. Worth as much as Richarlison imo.

If you’d asked me before the window opened who I’d have liked Spurs to sign, I would have picked Bissouma, Richarlison and Maddison. So if this comes off as well I’ll be in dreamland.

Don't really see the need for this guy considering his position, the cover we have, his cost and his HG premium. Also, seems like a bit of a ****. Hopefully this link disappears pretty sharpish.

I just think they’ve gone a bit stale and need a rebuild. They’re falling away and some of their key players might just want a fresh challenge.
He might want to I agree but it’s the club’s decision and I can’t see him being someone they are keen to let go.

I just shuddered at the thought of Mings being mentioned on the transfer board

Those are seriously good numbers. Since people are also talking about Ward-Prowse, how does he compare?
Ward-Prowse plays in a deeper CM role, so it wouldn't make sense to compare goal contributions. Ward-Prowse is older and potentially more expensive though (Southampton reportedly put a value of £75m on him this summer to warn suitors off).

Maddison would be a fantastic signing - he’s exactly the kind of player our squad is missing. You can bet his production would improve even further playing balls into Son and Kane.

This bloke is an agent and friendly with Paul O’Keefe apparently (as confirmed by Paul).
For anyone doubting this, the guys handle is Dave Agent…Dave AGENT. Guy is clearly legit and well connected.
I for one believe it.
