At 25 years old, HG, peak of his career, solves our creativity issue, Leicester likes Winks etc, literally the stars are aligning for us to make this signing. I believe even if we are to move him 4-5 years later we still be able to get back some value from him, which I hope by then we would already have the highest recoup from having won some titles and silverware.

Greeting from Thailand, I asked my friend who also Spurs Supporter and work in Thailand FA, he has some connect info from Fox's Board (as we know the Fox's owner and Executive board are Thai)

He heard that Fox ready to sale Tielemans (They has the replaced player already) while Maddisson Fox ready to sale at the right price (he not specific how much?) but Fox still can't find out who will replace JM, and If this transfer window closed and JM stilled there, Fox will offer new contract to him.

PS: Sorry for my English that not so good.
No need to apologise for your English... Thank you so much for your information... Nice post ?

I've stated before that I am not incredibly sold on Maddison as I don't think he's a player who can take a game by the scruff of the neck, he's mostly on the periphery. He's not at the level of Eriksen, for example, and I always preferred Grealish as he could be the centre of play.

Having said that, Conte doesn't need a player in this role to do that. His deeper lying players dictate. So Maddison would be required to play more one touch play and drift, looking to find space in the penalty area. Which he does very well for Leicester.

So my concerns about him, may not even be an issue in a Conte team. He just wouldn't be able to play in a CM2, like SMS.

Think he would give us so much. In terms of goals, is creative, great for setpieces but mainly gives conte much more flexibility in terms of ability to change up tactics, shape and stops us from being easy to plan to play against as madders could play in a front 3. He could allow us to switch to 3-5-2 or even if we are chasing a game or struggling to break a team down he could play CM in a 2 if we have all dominating against a low block.

Would really love this to be a Bissouma-style signing and it just randomly gets announced out the blue this week but I know that seems doubtful ?

I'd be surprised, aren't they stacked in the attacking midfield roles? They have mount, Gallagher has come back and wants to be first team, for the wider positions they've just signed sterling, add that to Havertz (kind of plays AM/CF). Werner and pulisic too.

I'm not saying they won't, but they should be spending money on a another centre back, a central midfielder (defensive), and a proper centre forward.

Honestly don't see who else can come in for him at this stage. Arsenal are full of those types of players as are city.

Liverpool could be an interesting one. But that's about it.
Chelsea love to hoard players and to screw Spurs over with transfers.... but i agree 8 can't see it personally think more likely United will go after Maddison.

Can't see UTD going for him either. Fernandes and Eriksen are already fighting it out for the #10 spot.

I think we need to come to terms with the fact that Chelsea used to hoard players etc etc etc......
But no more.

Completely different Chelsea now. These new owners are splashing cash this summer because they need to and want get the supporters on board but they won’t be doing this regularly. At best they’ll be thoughtful buyers like Pool and at worse they’ll make a big signing every year to keep the supporters happy ala Arse. The owners are American investors that have no deep love for the club or the sport really and they don’t need to launder money. Whether they’re trying to improve an asset for future sale like our owner or skim off profit like Man Utd, they’ll look at this as a business.
