A little more than I'd have liked us to offer, still an exciting transfer if it goes through :D

Agree the price is going up but I wonder how much of that is just the fall in currency. Seems like an extra third or so in sterling but maybe not in euros. We do need a new striker so I trust Poch has chosen wisely, he normally does.

And better to move now. Sterling is still falling and could lose another 10% easily. Need to move on all our euro signings before millions are added to the price-tags.

AZ sporting director has apparently announced that apart from the first bid which was rejected there has been no further contact with Spurs!

Who do we believe?

I'm sure the club have plenty of Euros in the piggy bank. Joe Lewis made his fortune from currency trading I believe.

Just over 14 million pounds we can can get half a berahino for that. not a bad price in todays inflated market. 10 million for tomkins 31 for benteke. looks a bargain

(1) It's all paper talk and (2) we finished third last season so it would be mad to criticise the board. That said, if we have offered £16.5 and if they do want £17m why wouldn't you just offer the little bit more? Who, from Tottenham's point of view, is actually deciding the value of a player and how can it be so firmly set half a million (or whatever) lower than what the other team wants?
