Jermain Defoe has announced his retirement from professional football aged 39. The former England, Tottenham and West Ham striker confirmed the decision to bring the curtain down on a goal-laden career spanning more than two decades via social media on Thursday.

His 40 this year, he played up an age group at Senrab sometimes with Ledley and voldemort they are 1980 turning 42 so I thought he would have been 40 still 39 is impressive.
