All these signings are great , just makes me worry where all the money is coming from , prices up again when fans finally get in or perhaps 50p on the sausage roll. :)

Some comments found on a swans forum:

"£11m a complete disgrace"

"They've bent us over on this one"

"11mill is rubbish"

"Selling your prize asset for about half his worth (remember we wanted £18m-£20m and Joe loaned back to us for the remainder of the season) cannot be accurately described as anything other than an unmitigated disaster."

"We have been mugged"

Excited about this one, looks a proper player.

I'll happily pay 50p on my sausage roll to see Bale back in a Spurs shirt

I'd be fine with this. Always like a player who can deliver three points.

Are you the reincarnation of Albert Einstein or some other great person in history?

Reading your posts always makes my day, although sometimes a 6-1 win for us at Old Trafford also has the same effect.

Swan's down

I honestly feel sorry for some fans of these clubs, it really does look a steal but that is the way it works luckily for us. They need the money and we hold most of the cards. Must be hard seeing your prized assets leaving the club. Sounds familiar for many years ?.

We've got the best possible championship defender available for just 15 mil. Pretty much last position of great need as well. What a window.

The worst thing that's happened to Swansea with the American (thieves) owners will be the downgrading of the Academy.....as the Athletic article says, Rodon, McBurnie and Dan James have all gone for circa £50m in the last 18 months, but the owners have just taken the cash.
I've got a soft spot for Swansea (live 70 miles west of there, almost in the Irish sea) as its nearest big place to me. Very sad, but modern football unfortunately ?

I'm sure we have spent less than last summer

Not sure haven't added it all up .
Difference with last year is of course covid, if Deloitte the accountants are right they estimated that a season in new stadium would bring in a matchday income of £100 million for Spurs , so that has all been lost can't see fans back this season way things are going. I am just surprised at the financial commitment Spurs have committed to , Daniel must have broken open his money box.

The Americans ripped the guts out of that club. They were one of the best run clubs in the football league, part owned by fans etc. The yanks come in and all of a sudden they are sacking club legends and putting some American coach in charge with no experience of European football.

Credit needs to given to Mourinho as well. Levy knows he has the perfect manager to try and win the club some trophies, so he backed him. Plus, Jose has incredible pull with players and agents. I don't believe we get Reguilon, Bale, Doherty or Vinicius without Jose at the club. Especially the latter two as the Jorge Mendes connection was put to good use to get us those favorable deals.
