Jose Mourinho hopes to bring Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric back to Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer, say reports.
The Croatia international, who departed the north London club in 2012, is out of contract in the Spanish capital at the end of the season.

It’s only the Europa League squad he’s not made it into.
And given Modric’s age, it wouldn’t be crucial for him to be available in Europe anyway if Mourinho didn’t want to leave anyone else out.

This is incorrect. We have room for one more Non-HG player. Gedson is considered a U21 player so didn't need to be registered as a Non-HG player.

Europe would require some maneuvering to fit another non-HG player as we're pretty much filled up. Also, consider we will likely register Rodon for the EL. Obvious changes would involve removing Lamela and Sanchez from EL roster to add Rodon and a potential newcomer. CB position would still include Toby, Dier, Tanganga, Rodon, Davies.

Isn't the issue that Davies is non HG for Europe but HG for premier League
