José Mourinho has warned that Tottenham will lose their attacking threat if he attempts to solve their defensive frailties by focusing on keeping clean sheets.
The build up play is so slow we barely have an attacking threat.
We were at home to Brighton ffs and had played almost 45 min with barely a shot, on target or otherwise. Christ we barely got in their half. I'm not even sure if they had a goalkeeper in the first half!
Keeping the ball and passing it among our defenders while Brighton and our 'attacking threat' sat in the other half looking fking bemused, yeah, we nailed it.
We're not losing games because we are too attacking mate. Sorry, you're having a laugh.
Its the opposite.
That and defensively we dont mark anyone or get even close.
Its static. Like bloody statues out there today.
2nd half was better but we need to start at the first whistle not with 30mins left.
HopeYou all had a good one.from.a.lo.g time lurker.
It's the midfield that's the problem. Lack of ideas, concentration, ability and balls equals extra pressure on a defence that's not Lacking quality but adhesion, stability and soon to be confidence.
In maurinho we trust? For me not until he gets this dire Dier fix out of his head
We need 2 or 3 fresh faces and clear out 1 or 2, if we can't strength the first 11 then strengthen the bench, give another starlet a chance and with it mentality and vision/belief will follow
MY hopes in 2020 focus on this line up

Attacking football. Yes it’s great to see but I also like controlled progressive football. We need to get a balance against. Against Brighton I don’t feel we controlled the game as such, second half was much better down to old school principals in working hard... I wasn’t at all pleased with Moura first half, but fair play in the second he was the instigator in us getting a positive result.
