.. and this weekends fixtures, there is no reason we cant move upto 7th this weekend.

Man city are away to Arse
Fulham are home to an in form Liverpool
Wigan face a tricky away trip to Everton
and West ham have a home game against sunderland

I think all the above games, excluding maybe the wet spam game, could go in our favour!

So, in we really really could be 7th by the end of this weekend

Its going to be a real battle there but we should manage a draw at least if we stay strong in the middle of the park... It shows how much of a joke the premier league is this season if we manage to finish 7th after our "2 points, 8 games, 1 hero" start to the season

I don't think we've won away against a Big Sam side in years. Don't think we've lost that many to Blackburn recently but they've been close. Draw is probably the likeliest bet, esp as they've turned into draw specialists. I think it'll be very tough though - we had more away to internationals and we defend crosses terribly, about a third of our goals conceded have come from set pieces and more have come from headers.

Yep, which is always tough, actually I cannot remember the last time we won at Ewood. Anybody know??

We won at least once while I was at uni in Liverpool - my housemate had a pair of season tickets to Ewood Park and I'd always drive us over for the Spurs game. Remember at least one occasion where he was mightily pissed off on the drive back and I was rubbing his face in it. Must have been beween 2001 and 2004

I remeber jamie redknapp getting a winner there one year - i think it was a good shot but also a mishit if you see what i mean

I doubt very much if we'll be 7th in 28 hours time, but hope I'm wrong of course :)

I remember winning there when Daveed was with us , at a time when we were threatened with relegation . The players were so relieved that after the match , they paraded in front of the Spurs fans Ginola out front ,as one commentator said , 'Its like they've just won the Champions League ' :)

thanx for all the memory joggers - the redknapp one was definitely away and i still go for 2-1 :) if only I could get the energy to go to google :)

i loved that game where Keane scored that great goal when we won 3-2 at the Lane, he picked it up from a throw in and did some clssic robbie magic

EDIT

ok got off my cyber arse :)

2002 oct 5

Jamie Redknapp may have snatched a fortunate victory with a fluky, mishit last-minute winner but it was Keane's sixth-minute opener which brought the most satisfaction to Spurs' manager Glenn Hoddle.
