Tottenham Ready to Hear £12m Offer from Juventus for Rejuvenated Full Back Bale

Source: Caughtoffside.com

Reports coming from Italy state that Tottenham full back Gareth Bale is being closely monitored by Juventus with a view to a bid being made by the Old Lady of Italian football in the summer. The young Welsh international was previously targeted by AC Milan and Roma but no official move was made by either side.

The intelligent left sided player has experienced something of a resurgence over the past few months and has become a regular starter as Tottenham have fought for a fourth place finish. It had appeared that Harry Redknapp was going to give up on the former Southampton man who had for a long time flattered to deceive and made too many errors to warrant a spot in the first team.

However injury to Benoit Assou Ekotto led to Bale getting another shot in the starting eleven and he hasn’t looked back since. Juventus have had a torrid time of it this season and having sacked Ciro Ferrara they haven’t seen their fortunes change too dramatically under Alberto Zaccheroni and could find themselves finishing out of the European places all together unless they reverse their poor streak.

Tottenham are reportedly open to the idea of offloading the 20 year old but wouldn’t do so for anything less than a reported £12m, which may be a fee that the Turin club is not willing to fork out for a player who four months ago was seemingly surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane.

Theres been talk of Bale going to Italy for a few years now so large pinch of salt taken but if true then they can forget only £12M!

Why would Tottenham be "open to off-loading" Bale?
I could imagine there being serious interest in him but this isn't serious.

Make it £20m and it'll still be a 'No thank you, Old Lady!'

Bale is irreplaceable on current form, and if we're going to make the next step up, to challenge the Big Boys, we need all the potentially world class players we can get.

12mil? No thanks. I wouldn't be surprised if Man U came in for him as Giggs is beginning to look like an old lady too these days, and IF Levy was to sell he'd hold out for a hell of a lot more than 12mil

They're 7th in Serie A, why would he want to take a step backwards?

Lets get CL football then we hold all the aces.

We need to get him to sign a new contract soon or in a season or 2 we will have to cash in on him at a cut down price but currently for 12 mil the old lady can do one

Italian football is on its knees, Jose's little outburst last week will have done nothing to help it either!

Quite confident Bale wouldn't want to leave the Prem for Serie A.

I don't think Levy would even consider answering the phone on any bid for Bale for less than £16 million.

I hope he signs a new deal soon. The boy is a class act and a 'top top player'

Just hope United don't come calling FFS.

£12 million will only get you a superstar of the Adel Taarabt bracket.

Hahaha - in their dreams.
One of the best attacking full backs in the world potentially.
Is Dani Alves really any better than Bale?
Not saying he won't go somewhere, but it deffo won't be for only £12m.
