The kid looks dynamite. 13 years old playing for Scotland U16 and Celtic U19.

Celtic's 13-year-old playmaker Karamoko Dembele has been named in Scotland's Under-16s Victory Shield squad.

The youngster made headlines this month when he made his debutfor the Scottish champions' development team.

Dembele, who also qualifies for England and Ivory Coast, played nine minutes against Hearts Under-20s.

Scotland face Northern Ireland, Wales and Republic of Ireland at the Oriam centre, near Edinburgh, from 30 October until 4 November.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers had vowed to shield the playmaker from media coverage.

Dembele, 13, played for Celtic's development team against Hearts Under-20s earlier this month

While this is an outstanding achievement and i wish the kid all the best, I am seriously getting annoyed at all the Media having a wank over him. If this overhyping of youngsters keeps up i can not wait for the Day he turns into the next Freddy Adu.

It's only because he's been given game time that he's in the spotlight. There are probably a dozen lads around that age who are as talented when compared to their peers and even a few slightly older lads, but a majority will even out as they progress into their teens and eventually be caught up by the slightly slower developers. I'm almost certain we all know "that lad from school" who was insanely good at a sport, only to end up being an architect or a barista or something.

Yes, it's great to see a talented youngster but all this attention is massively premature. Come back to us when he's eighteen and starting with a senior squad. Or in the equally as likely event that he got sick of all this attention, quit football and discovered how much fun life is when you're not forced to train and work 24/7.

It is an impressive compilation when you consider the age difference. He has pace to burn, he made sideshow Bob look awful as well. Players were bouncing off him and he has a few tricks in the bag. Looks a great talent but needs to be left alone for a couple of years.

We should go all out to get him signed up now, get him working on doing a 180 and passing it back to the centre backs before it's too late...
