at the momment Boateng and Zokora are liabilities
Zokora's not even been a factor in the buffet scramble for weeks now, let alone been bothering the first team and, before the ANC, was looking pretty hard working in the middle and starting to resemble a decent option, alongside JJ.

Zokora has only ever looked decent for Spurs playing at the back. Indeed, the Ivory Coast even stuck him back there when Woolwich's Toure was injured.

If Zokora ends up next to JJ in CM, it'll be deja vu all over again: JJ will be trying to do his job and Zokora's, and it'll end in tears.

Whereas if JJ plays alongside Teemu or O'Hara or even the Hud (in his Man Utd form), he'll be able to play to his strengths.

KPB obviously has talent, that much is clear,

I've not seen any

I'm usually very reluctant to have a pop at players who are: a, young and b, have come from abroad recently.

But generally, even if they're not performing, there's something there, some kind of potential. He has none and mark my words, he will be out of the team after than Kazuyuki Toda.

I can't believe people are saying that O'Hara, the shittest passer of the ball ever, is better than Boateng. Give Boateng the 7 years of English football experience that O'Hara has, and he'll be infinitely better than O'Hara ever could hope of being.

You bunch of racists.

Can I have some of what you're smoking please.

I think we should give the guy a chance but so far he is just in front of Timmy Otouba... and look how long he lasted...

had a much better title

This is a joke right? The wild accusation of racism give it away. Never mind making no sense. 1/10 for trolling.

mate, likenng KPB to Toda is like likening Kaboul to Darren Moore. Ridiculous.

You are right, Toda showed a spark of potential in the Peace cup at least

Give the lad more time, if he is still plaing poorly this time next season then it's time to seriously think about his place in the squad.

The main thing about KPB is he cost a great deal of money for a young player and alot of fans have expected more from him than being a bit part squad member who looks uncomfortable in the premeir league - whoever he plays against.
He may come good as a player but at present he looks overpriced and overwhelmed/out of his depth but as has been said it's his first season in a different country in a different league etc etc.

KPB will come good.I think next season is a very important year for him, as everyone will be looking for him to prove what he has to offer. Make or break for him.

It really pisses me off how people are saying he is a discrace to the shirt. Haven't our stupid fans LEARNED by now to give players time before we give them shit.
The guy is 20 years old, new environment, new league, he is nervous - that is obvious in his game.

Occasionally I have seen flashes of brilliance in his game (there were no flashes in the derby game), but enough, and Im sure Ramos will agree, to tell that he is going to be a great player one day.

Carrick was given shit like this for ages, and then he suddenly clicked, and so did the fans. Give him time, and he will improve. Get on his back, he will just get worse.

I am totally with you mate, some of our fans are embarrassing and the fickle/deluded tags just aren't going to go away at this rate.

If you look across the message boards it is absolutely alarming how many people want to write off Bent/Kaboul/Taarabt/Boateng as bad buys is amazing.

It was not so long ago I was on these boards stoutly defending Malbranque against pretty much everyone else yet now the party line has changed with him. Is he THAT much better? No. I could just see his quality in the first place.

As far as I am concerned, Boateng is a prospect, the day Ramos decides he isn't fit to wear the shirt is the day I will consider it, but until then he is a young player with great ability and I am keen to see how he develops.

He needs a LOT more time.

yeah, he needs more time. Still, Ive been much more impressed with the value of our other young CM - OHara.

To me KPB could well end up the better player. O'Hara is ahead at the moment but I think when KPB has a full pre-season, gets to grips with the pace of the game here and and tightens up his defensive play a little you will see what he can do.

Sums it up perfectly

It's also maybe worth pointing out that for the whole of last season and an appreciable chunk of this most people were wondering just why Chelsea were paying Ballack £120k a week.

I dont think its fickle or deluded to say that KPB hasn't yet shown what he is about yet. He obviously hasn't and has been average at best. It would be fickle to write him off at this point, as it is only his first year at the club/young etc. but there's nothing wrong with expressing an opinion.

I was definatly not one of steeds fans last season, or at the beginning of the season and yet, I think he has arguably become our player of the season since then.Yes we all knew he had it in him, and Yes he is that much better now than he was then. what would be silly is to stubbornly not change your mind and just go with your original opinion of him. Whats wrong with the "party Line" changing if its changed for the better? Dont we all want our players who we dont rate to prove us wrong?

I know i do.
