Apparently in the next few days it's going to be announced that Amir Khan's fighting Mayweather on May 3. As a result, Khan's pulling out of his fight against Alexander in December.

I can't believe this fight is predicted to rake in over $200m. It's a complete mismatch. Mayweather will destroy the chinless wonder. Though fair play to Khan. I wouldn't mind getting knocked out if it meant being paid at least $6m.

What a mismatch. Khan's management would be mad to agree to it. For all the money, he will get taken apart.

Khan was talking it up a while back though, wasn't he? I imagine his team were all like, "Yeah! Amir, you can take on anyone in the world right now!", then behind his back people ask why they egg him on like that, they shrug and say something along the lines of "like it'll ever happen...".

Whilst i'd love to think it'd be a good match, it won't. I said it before, i'll say it again; Mayweather will be skull-f*cking khans unconscious eye sockets before the echo of the first bell fades.

It's science.

Khan will not see round three, if he's lucky.
It's probably being lined up as his last pay cheque by his camp....

Khan might actually trouble Mayweather with his speed, I said might...

I could see him going the distance, but losing on points.

But all this is circumstantial as Khan will be fighting Alexander first.

Mayweather is true beast. This fight is a bit of a joke if I'm being honest.

I heard his fight with Alexander is off.

I hope its over in the UK if it happens. Mayweather always talks about how much he loves his UK fans so would make sense to fight a Brit over here.

What I read (can't remember where now so no link I'm afraid), is that it'll be in the states, Khan will pocket $11m for the fight and the reason American's are keen for the fight (and therefore will pay to watch, the only reason the fight is happening) is that they think real speed troubles Mayweather. Khan is very fast no doubt, and that's the draw for them.

I'm with Omar on this one, I think it'll go the distance and Mayweather will win on points (he might even lose the first round or two until he gets into his stride, as I think Khan will try to come out of the blocks quickly). Despite Khan's well documented weak chin, Mayweather isn't the heaviest hitter in the division, though he is very accurate, Khan will have to be streets ahead of his previous head and body movement to not get tagged too often. Though I think he'll last the fight, he might well be down a couple of times along the way.

Unfortunately it'll take place in the States as that's where the money is.

I wouldn't mind seeing it. Khan will pose a problem of sorts with his speed, as mentioned already though, too easy to hit, especially for someone with Floyd's timing! Khan fights in straight lines too which makes the job easier for Mayweather.

Seems a strange choice though. Khan isn't exactly a shoe in against Alexander if that takes place.

Floyd is running out of opponents! Golovkin anyone? Danny Garcia should be getting the call at some stage too I would have thought, although that wouldn't be all that competitive.
