That might be because he was a guest, we probably paid/was contractually obliged to be here and he hasn't a clue about football so will just say whatever to be nice. No you're right, it's a media conspiracy, nobody ever says anything positive about us ever, thank goodness the NBA player had the guts and brains to say what all Spurs fans wanted him to say, what a guy.
Didn't say no one says anything positive about us I don't prescribe to those conspiracies that the media is against us, but not heard many talk of us winning the title. It's always downplayed or written off.

My favorite athlete ever and he grew up in Italy and played football as a kid so he's a fan (of the sport, not Tottenham) and he knows some stuff. Not just a typical marketing wankfest.

Probably the only person I heard say we will win the title. Never heard that from anyone in the English media, pundits or ex-pros
"When you win your first, which you will..."

Lovely words to say to Kane, get a £150k (going to £200k with bonuses) contract under Harry's nose this week Levy!

Kobe was at Nike town this weekend, he's been doing some promo stuff with the NBA over here and a bit around Europe (we work with NBA so a few Kobe pieces are coming through our office).

Would assume that with him coming down and being at Nike Town, him being a Nike athlete, us being Nike and us having a home game at Wembley it all just added up perfectly.

Similarly with Maradona, he was over here for the Pukas awards in London. So before that? Get him to a game with an Argentinian manager.

Makes you wonder, how much input did Poch have on Kobe and Maradona being there - it’s almost like having a couple of motivational speakers that have been there, done it, and knows what it takes. Telling how Kobe said they spoke about becoming a champion etc. It’s those little details that Poch thinks about, this time on the mentality side.

Also, would have been a bit of PR material for the US.
We should look.to.get inspirational entities.visiting us for all crucial matches. Its no coincidence we bkew liverfool away in the presence of world class athletes

Maybe the wrong example. The last thing we want is our boys to realise they can earn a lot more money elsewhere......

How many Europeans would recognise Kobe Bryant if they passed him in the street? My guess is, not many.

Perhaps not, but considering the partnership between THFC and the NFL on the stadium deal, having Kobe talk to Spurs could be a big PR push for the club over here. I ran into my first fellow Spurs fan in public yesterday (I was wearing my shirt from the PSG match) and we got talking about that match and the club's chances...but it was LITERALLY the only time I've had that happen.

Spurs need an injection of pub over here if they're gonna break the Chelsea/Arsenal/United stranglehold on the American EPL Fandom.
