Nice debut:

Redknapp and his collection of ex-Spurs should do really well there. Well, with that line-up, they should.

Lovely lovely player. Always has been, always will be. Stay away from the pies, Niko!

The QPR fans must be loving it. If ever a club needed to get relegated it was them.

Yeah, loved Niko. It felt like a mugging when we took him from Portsmouth for £2m. I remember how good he was the night we smashed Wigan 9-1. Obviously Defoe and Lennon took the plaudits but Niko was outstanding.

I never understood why Redknapp didn't use him behind the striker when VDV was out injured, instead always shunting him out to the left or right.

Criminally underutilized by Harry when with us, slightly ironic now that he's brought him to QPR. Who's next? Pienaar?

Did he not play often under Harry because we had Bale on the left and Vaart behind the striker? Were those his favoured positions?

Far too good for Championship level IMO. Should have really been utilised more at our time here and at least back-up for van der Vaart at the time.

I do t know if he meant to get that amount of Swazz on that ball, but fuck me if he did what a pass that is!

Niko was always criticised for lack of pace, but not many players moved the ball as quickly and accurately as he did. Very classy player who is way too good for the Championship but fairplay to Redknapp for getting him.

I always liked him, hope he does well at QPR. Is it another loan or did they buy him?

Class player, always remember his goals vs Man City, nutmegged a defender near the post and smashed it past the keeper, silky.

Never wanted Niko to go, played football in our style and scored some impressive goals. Wasn't the fashionable Croatian, but was always consistent and effective almost every time he played. The perfect squad player, even now I imagine.

If he were a few years younger and at his peak he'd complement our squad wonderfully. We have Eriksen and Holtby now but nonetheless would suit our current style.
