I thought...a Modric repalcement? But then, well, I dunno, he might be a defensive midfierlder, I really have no idea...but, we don;t really need cover there, when we have Parker and Sandro...but...well....I dunno.

Him and Sandro in midfield would be epic.

Too similar. Both box-to-box midfielders, you just need one alongside a midfielder willing to sit.
Sandro sit pretty well when needed, but it might stifle his growth as an all-around MF. Tough call.

Sandro can sit, Asamoah is better going forward.

More energy and drive into the team.

Not sure. If they could learn each other's game they could build a useful relationship - they can understand to stay back when one goes forward and vice versa.

All the successful teams could do it. An example...

Utd: Keane & Ince
Scum: Petit & Vieira

I'm sure there are more, but I'd need to refresh my memory.

Juve have Vidal and Marchisio.
With Pirlo sitting

I wouldn't want Sandro to be restricted because his CM partner wants to attack more. I think Sandro can become one of the very best box-to-box midfielders in Europe, and because of his huge potential, I'd almost build the side around him. You need a level of discipline and balance to, otherwise you'll have a midfield running all over the joint.

Huddlestone could be a good option just to sit there alongside Sandro, creating from deep, allowing Sandro full reign to push forward when needs be. Or if we decide to sell Modric to Madrid, I'd love to see Sahin coming the other way if we could sort out a deal.

I actually rate Asamoah, but with the likes of Sandro, Livermore & Parker, I don't think we need that type of midfielder.

Sandro is an excellent hunter and on occasion drives forward well but we could do with a natural box to box guy.

Parker can't be that player any more and lacks composure in advanced areas. I don't think Livermore will ever be that type of player either.

Good player. Been excellent for Udinese for a while now. Parker won't be around forever.

Still think you need someone in there with a real creative spark and composure, every top side has that type of midfielder in their team, and why players like Modric are at such a premium.

We have to keep that going, we don't want another Jenas - Zokora (though a very much upgraded version) situation occurring.

If Parker was to leave and Livermore was loaned out, then I'd be all for signing Asamoah, as I rate him above them both. But I can't see either of those leaving.

I'm not advocating for them to be in there alone, of course pair them with Luka.

Somewhat similar to what Juve have in the middle.

Good to see african targets on our list :) Harry knows the key, I think. Would be happy if we signed him obviously.
Football should be fun, you know. You cannot disagree on that! Football will be fun with african players in our team!

We've been looking at him for over a year. I mentioned this to the mods last summer.

Asamoah is much more of a Parker than a Modric, wouldn't be particularly pleased with this.

Just can't understand this at all...

Modric, Parker, Sandro, Livermore, Huddlestone, even JJ...

If Modric goes it has got to be Sahin+cash...Where does Asamoah fit in?
