Said to a friend, good athlete but positionally terrible, relies on recovery pace that will go soon enough.
For an attacking player he doesn't score enough or assist enough.

I sort of wish I felt worse about this but I honestly don't, Walker is a terrific full back but he isn't our best, I'd be gutted if Danny Rose left.

Let's not forget he's been an excellent servant to the club for a massive amount of time by modern day standards.

We've made a lot of money off him. It's a shame he's gone but good luck Kyle, just not against us.
"Servant" is such a misused word in this context.

Thanks for the memories & service, Kyle.

It's so weird. He's been one of our best players for a few seasons now, integral to how we play, and I've been a big fan...and yet I'm strangely un-gutted by his departure. Can't really explain it.

Sorry to see Kyle Walker leave. England's best right back.

Was interesting to hear all the bad things said about him on here prior to the transfer:

* Walker was tapped up by Man City and wanted to leave for the extra cash
* Walker wanted more money from Spurs
* Walker was unfit and pissed off Pochettino because Walker thought he was fit enough
* Walker has Body Odour (Yes - even that was mentioned)

Of course Walker denied that he wanted to leave when asked about it while on holiday...

Watched the Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal match again last night. Really don't see how Walker could be considered in poor shape. Have a look for yourself. Check other videos from last season.

I suspect that all this negativity concerning Walker may have been created by the PR team at Spurs. Why? To make it more palatable that the Club is selling one of the best right backs in the world to a direct rival.

Yes - the new stadium is costing a lot of money to build - and I understand that the money to pay for it has to come from somewhere - but all these negative comments concerning one of our longest serving and talented players leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

The best of Walker..... West Ham home 2015. The worst of Walker..... Palace away 2017. £53m is absolutely ridiculous.

Interesting Jenas, who's still very plugged into the Spurs dressing room, replied to a tweet saying his head was turned with "not sure that was the case". Sounds like he's intimating he was pushed out by Poch.

Still the only club not to have made a signing.no doubt we will still be fucking about once the season has started.why don't we for once back the manager and get the players in for preseason.

Agreed. At the end of the day Rio Ferdinand went for around £30m 17 odd years ago. You can't compare transfers like for like really.

Whether Stones goes close to reaching his potential is beyond the point. City felt it was worth a punt on 'the future England captain' as a fair few were billing him.
That Rio transfer fee would translate into £120-150m now.
