Fair play to him. Still think he got more abuse here than warranted.
People wanted him to be a Walker 2015-17 clone when his skillset is completely different. I also think Poch didn't compensate enough tactically to play to Trippier's strengths, but it's evident that Simeone and his staff has managed to improve Trippier's defending significantly over these two seasons so maybe he just wasn't a good fit.

Yeah fully agree with both of those points, without trying to sound like I'm sticking up for him way too much (as he did have his faults too) he was somewhat up against it with those things in mind. Am glad both him and Eriksen both seem to be getting some joy. Yes Eriksen left on a slightly sour note but he gave us so much over so many years I can easily overlook that really as well as understanding his reasoning and I felt like Trippier always gave his all.

I was going to say nobody wants to win La Liga this season, but Atleti surely have to get over the line now.

Atletico Madrid - 83 points
Real Madrid - 81 points
Barcelona - 76 points

Final day next week:
Real Valladolid v Atletico Madrid
Real Madrid v Villareal

If they both finish on 84 points Real Madrid are the champions (head-to-head points - one Real win and a draw)

Atleti couldnt have asked for an easier game to get over the line.

Depends which way you look at it. Valladolid need a win to avoid relegation so they will definitely play their hearts out

He started inside his own half so no offside (except if you're called Jan Vertonghen).

Come on Villarreal then, don't let Real win.

I didn't realise Cat Poo had ended up over there. Most forgettable of the 'super seven'.

Where's Foyth? Injured?
