Not bad for a player who is supposedly weak, can't beat his man and doesnt get in front of the striker.
China, pickard did you watch?

He could be the main man this year. I don't buy into this 'he's not good enough' crap.

Get behind him for crimes sake!

Lamela, Holtby look really good together linking up there. Can't imagine what it's going to be like with Eriksen there as well

Tiiiiim, Andrreeeeee, this is hindsight calling. Don't you think maybe if you had played them together you might still have a jooooooob. Ya dumb ****s

Did you not read Lamela's interview? He was injured. That means he was unnavailable for selection. Should Sherwood have played him with a knackered back?

As far as I remember, Lamela and Eriksen both started Tim's first league game at Southampton. We then went on a 6 game unbeaten run, with 5 wins, during which time Lamela got injured, seemingly in training and was never to be seen again... for the season.

Still surprises me how tall the guy is. I think you naturally associate skillful winger types with being smaller.
I can see Lamela being our Hazard this year and having a similar impact.

Anyone who questioned Lamela, after 15 goals for Roma at 20 yrs old need treatment.
Never in doubt in my mind.

He was injured .... get over it

Watching the goals against Toronto made me think back to the Milan game. He has a lot of potential looking at his movement, his passing and the way he eases past players he really does have all the attributes.

All the people that slated our signings last year are gonna get a shock if he hits any where near his potential...

I personally decree that sexual arousal as a result of a certain Mr Erik Lamela is not considered gay in the confines of Spurs Community or White Hart Lane.

Lets not run away with ourselves just yet. We all remember the form of Bent and Bentley in 2008... But what I will say is that Lamela looks a lot fitter and quicker than he did when he arrived at Spurs - even pre injury.

I question Roma's pre season regime last year in that case.

His finish for the first goal was awesome - odd technique but it was cool. Obviously it was a friendly but he looked really relaxed when taking his chances.

Really hope it works out for him this season.
