Before the speculation starts, Roma has one of the best back specialists. Also shows that he's really injured.
To add to this @angelomangiante also tweeted:

"He visited AS Roma's traning center, met former friends, visit the back specialist, come back to London tomorrow. Good luck!"

So Sandro, Paulinho, Vertonghen and now Lamela & many more i've probably forgotten all have been back to their old clubs physio's and medical staff is this yet another sign that our lot are hopeless or not trusted by our players?

Not at all! Again was someone trying to scare everyone to thinking the medical staff are not up the standard. When this couldnt be further from the truth!

We make the choice to send players with serious injuries to the best specialists around the world and alot of these specialists work for top clubs.
We want the players the recover well and properly so sometimes we send them away to do this.
All the top clubs do this.

Our medical team is top top notch! And i wont have them be slated becuase one poster decided to have them be a scapegoat!

No it just shows how superstitious players are. Hence the readiness to try wacky pointless treatments like horse placenta etc. If they recovered before they'll keep going back to the same people. Equally they'll fly around the world visiting 'specialists ' on recommendations of other players.

If this is true we should expect to see him vs. Stoke and W'ham. Knowing Dim he won't even have him in the squad

Like he doesn't rate suarez.
To be fair, the only reason Tim didn't want Suarez is because he didn't see him as a striker, if only we had been looking for a central midfielder then maybe Tim would have wanted to sign him...:cautious:

As talented as Lamela is to put him straight into the team after having not played for most of the season is simply asking for him to get injured again immediately. Sherwood was right in that he will need a full pre-season in order to build up his match fitness gradually and be slowly reintroduced into the team. Much as was done with Kaboul. The Club needs to avoid rushing him back because of "fan" pressure to ensure that he doesn't break down again and miss large parts of next season too.

Going to the World Cup and training with familiar faces under the care of Argentina's Coaches will do him the world of good but I very much doubt he'll be playing 90min games there. If anything he'll get 10 mins or maybe 15 or 20 mins, then he'll be monitored for any reaction, if they progress they will slowly increase his game time until they are 100% sure he is ok. Of course it's highly likely that he may well get hamstring or adductor muscle injuries due to lack of activity so better for us if he does go to be mostly an unused substitute then come back with 70% fitness and do preseason with us to get to 100% and then be raring to go for the preseason friendlies and new season.

At least have Erik on the bench if possible. Maybe give him a start v Villa in the last game and again give him minutes in King's testimonial.

Would be typical of Tim to play him in a game that's not even happening.

On a serious note, now that it has come from Erik's doctor, Tim better play him because he has nowhere to hide now (like Lamela has for the last 4 months)
