I think you will find if we bought a young English international who scored 15 goals the season before we bought him, and he cost £30 million and performed like Lamela then it would be a lot worse.

Also the ones that like/want Adebayor back are overwhelmingly in the minority. Its obvious to see that Soldado gets a lot more leeway than Adebayor as "he makes us play better". Face it Adebayor is better than Soldado. Soldado just misses and misses. He gets the service but continues to miss the target.

I'm awfully disappointed and fed-up with Spurs at the moment and at how unbalanced and fucked up our squad is at the moment, no leaders, little quality and few players we can identify with.
I've said it numerous time the squad is a mess that needs sorting out and in my opinion Lamela is part of that mess!

I still get excited when I see his name on the team sheet, and there are few, if any, other current Spurs players who I feel the same about. Yes, he's not playing well lately, yes, we probably got done at £30 mill, but the lad has natural ability, and he works hard on the pitch. He's worth persevering with, and nothing would make me happier than to see him succeed at Spurs.

Bale looked great immediately upon joining. Not saying that means we should ditch Lamela (my current opinion is that I still see enough potential there to be excited about as a future player for us, but equally I think that to fulfill that potential he's going to improve a lot from where he is at the minute). But the Bale comparison is nonsense: he looked a star from the moment he pulled on our jersey - ran the game from left-back at the age of 18 against Fulham (away) in his second league game for us under Jol. There was never any doubt that he would make it, even if his move further up the park and eventual transformation into a forward couldn't have been predicted at the time.

Lamela in his first 15 games hasn't yet produced anything like what Bale did in his first 15 games for us.

The price tag isn't his fault, it's Baldinis who obviously earnt very well from this deal. But this deal alone should be enough to get Baldini to clear his desk.

I get he's young, and yea in glimpses, and I mean glimpses he shows some raw talent, but that's all! Not an intelligent player, poor movement, cuts into crowded areas and decision making is shit.

Rose hasn't exactly had it easy the past couple of years...he's English. Pretty sure he's had more abuse on here than most?

Don't really get this sort of post. Lamela hasn't been very good. Neither has Soldado. Not shit, but certainly replaceable - and disappointingly - quite easily replaceable.

Pretty sure the agenda is just to see players playing well for Spurs. If they're not, kinda makes sense that people wouldn't want them to start.
