Tottenham are among one of multiple clubs monitoring the situation of Brighton winger Leandro Trossard.

The 28-year-old, who's contract will expire this summer, was curiously omitted from Brighton's matchday squad that beat Middlesbrough 5-1 on Saturday in the Third Round of the FA Cup.

Roberto de Zerbi also chose to bench the Belgian, for the first time this season, during their 4-0 win against Everton on Tuesday night, sparking talk that the winger could depart the Amex Stadium this January.

I'd be down with this. Hopefully lowish fee as little reasle value one would think.

Creative type who can play a few different positions, whilst averaging a goal/assist at 1:3 in the Prem.

He's looked a good player most times when i've watched Brighton.

Over to you Agent Pigeon.

Multiple reports, including above, say that Brighton have an option for extra year which they will undoubtedly exercise.
Yeah they will of course exercise the clause and sell in the summer for some kind of fee. My guess would be £15-20m.

Don't think he'd improve us (or we'd improve him for that matter). Should be looking at someone a lot better.

I like Trossard, hes a entertaining player to watch. But im not convinced he would be a good signing for us. At 28 i don't see him going up a level if he moved to a bigger club. Not completely against him, just not sure he's one id be going for.

I do like Trossard and whilst he is versatile I do see him as competition for Son if he was to come. I don't think with his age and ability it is the right move, too old to be a long term successor and not good enough to take Son's place in the here and now (providing Son rediscovers any level of form).

Really like the player though, just don't think he is what we need ATM.

He turned 28 about 5 weeks ago. If I checked his date of birth, what's stopping Woolwich fans doing likewise?
It's a meme after a conversation between two Arsenal fans on twitter about the age of a player they were looking at back in about 2015.

Great to be linked with a Leandro again after all these years though.

Would love him, been hoping we’d look at him this window. He should be attainable for a fee that wouldn’t impact our business elsewhere.

If conte wants him and he’s a reasonable price I don’t see why we would turn our noses up at him.

I think a lot of people underestimate the prem proven part to players. Trossard has been performing and contributing well in a Brighton team for seasons now. There’s no way knowing if a player like Zaniolo would have done the same.
