In retrospect it was a mistake to play Rose and Aurier at the same time - neither are up to speed with match tactics. Should have paired Davies/Aurier and Trippier/Rose.

Defense is simply in shambles right now - and its more organization than it is individual skills. We miss Dier/Wanyama as a defensive shield - helps hold things together. Too chaotic, and not enough cohesiveness in the back.

Attacking, we are playing scared. Need to get more aggressive. I'd take Eriksen off, put Lamela on. Son for Sissoko.

Glad I can't find any radio commentary or anything as it sounds way too frustrating.

I think Poch will be under the spotlight now. Too much talk in recent times and since his book we have been on a downward spiral. Most people wait until they have achieved something significant to write about how great they are; it does make me wonder about our overall mentality. I can put up with a run of poor form but not continual poor decisions and lack of pressing

Lester is just doing their job. They know what to do. We don't. We don't know what we should play. It looked like we put pressure on them but it was on Leicester conditions. We've lost our style somewhere. Our pressing is just running fast. Our action looks accidental. Ehh it hurts cause I really love this team. They have to find 'it' again.

If Son was on he would have scored both deles chance and sissokos, two poor attempts. Just giving their keeper, confidence and inspiration needed to keep a clean sheet.

To be fair to Alli Eriksen's pass was shit, not enough weight on it so he had to adjust and take it with his left rather than being able to let it run across him and hit it with his right. Sissoko's was a sitter though.

I wouldn't say we have gone backwards but definitely haven't moved forward this year that is definate, look at the two Manchester clubs they are too powerful for us Utd steamrollering Watford tonight.

Leave it out for a night bloke

Well, see it from the bright side. Maybe we will play in the Europa League next season. Think about the possible destinations. What about Ararat Yerevan from Armenia? Or Tromsö (Norway), north of the arctic circle. Go on a polar bear safari and take a skinny dip in a freezing ocean.

This is officially a crisis. So many things are wrong with this team. All of a sudden we look an absolute shell of a side. Very, very worrying.

Bloody one minute of extra time, so don't lose a goal. Appalling, risky pass from Eriksen and then no one cuts it out. Playground defending.

I don't melt down often. It's just the thought of us drifting out of the top 4 and losing out to Arsenal. I can't bear it tbh.

The problem is I've grown so attached to the idea that we are better than them and we are rising whilst they are declining and maybe it's not true and it sucks

I get that but honestly this thread is what you'd expect an Everton forum to look like not a team 5th and in the champions league last 16

These players need a good fucking slap IMO. We're carrying too many players at the minute, every match is the same. Players who are getting paid extortionate amounts, most of whom have signed new, better contracts recently.

Poch is within his rights to fine the lot of them if performances and effort levels don't improve drastically.

Reality Check:
We're in our worst run of form and results for 2 years in the league.
Not pretty, not happy, not much fun to watch.
But...
We're in out best run of European form....since we won a trophy in Europe.
We expect a hell of a lot from our boys week in week out.
At this moment in time they need us to support them through this. That simple.
We'll still aim for 4th or better - we're jut in a bad run of form, injuries, luck, no synergy or fluidity.
So, accept it, suck it up - and hope for a confidence boosting second half.
COYS!

And remember, it's only facking football. We've seen many a shit spurs side and this definitely isn't one.

It's weirdly reassuring seeing us fold like a deck chair on a windy day, it's all I've ever known when it comes to Spurs!

Poch making changes for the sake of is having a bad effect on Morale and performances.

I wonder if Levy is getting an itchy trigger finger with Ancelotti watching on with interest?

The lineup supposedly is fine TBF.. The attitude is not. The passion is not. The leadership is not.

I'd go 4-3-3, Dier DM Eriksen and Alli CMs, Lamela right Son left. Dembele and Sissoko off. We're going to need to press the hell out of them.
