i think it was cramp 10 minutes before he went down the manager asked him did he want to come off he said no, tbh he run his wee fucking heart out and was probably busted.

i loved the fact that our manager asked the players do you want to come off and they said no, just shows that are having fun playing for AVB at the minute

Could of been that he felt a slight twinge in his hamstring, and they decided to bring him off as a precaution. That or its a grade one tear - he'll he ready to go again after the International break.

I know they said they felt ok to stay on but how many players pumped up on adrenaline and a buoyant home crowd are going to say they should come off?

I did think he might've protected 1 or 2 with 20 mins to go. Dembele, Bale & Lennon for Jake, Holtby and Carroll might have been my preference.
That said, a three of Sigurdsson, Bale, Holtby on Sunday wouldn't fill me with dread. Hopefully Dempsey will be back as we're getting a wee bit thin on numbers at the mo.

I see your point but a hamstring can go in the first minute and any injury(football related) can happen at any given time, you can't legislate for what happened to Lennon, you can't sub everyone on the field just cos you're 3-0 up. If you take Bale and Lennon off, Verts, Dembele, Walker, Parker all as important, could also get an injury.
