Who is the better winger? Please don't turn this into a Bale LB/ LW debate. This is about who you think is most effective charging up the wing.

Lennon is a master of lollipopping defenders on their arses, drawing fouls from the opposing right back, winning free kicks and generally scaring defenders with his ability to weave through and turn them inside out. His final ball is much improved this season but still needs some work.

Bale is just a machine at the moment. Not as tricky as Lennon, but seems able to take the ball past pretty much any defender with his pace and strength and his final ball is consistently good. Hard to fault his game at the moment.

I know Lennon has been injured since Christmas, but right now I'd have to say Bale probably scrapes it. So many man of the match performances recently and he's now popping up with some goals.

Can't wait to see them both playing on the wings though, gonna be so funny watching other teams try to cope with those two.

Lennon.

Bale is coming on, but Lennon has done this year on year.

Voted Lennon. Bale has the potential to be better and is more versatile, but Lennon for now.

it shows how well Bale has done that it's almost been forgotten how great Lennon has been for us.

Why either or when we have both and can play them on either flank?

different types of player entirely. Lennon is a true impact winger although he does an amount of tracking back.

Bale on the other hand on the evidence of the last 7 or 8 games is a world class left sided player who can play LB or LM.

Just can't wait to see them both play in the same team whilst on form and fit!

Can't wait to see them both on form in the same team. The oppo won't be able to double up on both of them. Lennon RM, Mods LM and Bale LB will see us destroy teams.

This is a very tough question. Can we not have a "Goat" get out clause

I think Lennon is an outstanding player and very effective. When Lennon is on form we are great to watch but a bit one dimensional. I just think Bale is an all round more effective player. It'll be interesting to see who our defenders and central mids are inclined to give the ball to when both are playing in the same team.

Bales is a better footballed but Lennon is a winger, bales isn't. Lennon can go from stand still to full pace in 2 strides, thats something that only a hand full of players in the world can match.

Come on, it's a positive thread.

Lets not start this.

Sorry animal but I agree with double0 on this. I just don't see anything positive in this topic. Bale is a left sided player and Lennon is a right sided player so I don't see why we need to pick 1 when we can play both. I think we've got some of the best young talent in the PL and on a separate note if Dawson is not on that plane to SA then Spec Savers have failed in their quest to help Capello see the light.
