I think Harry eluded that Lennon had been feeling rough already, but the decision to pull him out clearly came minutes before the game as the team sheet had azza on it.

He must have just had severely worsened symptoms just before the match.

Agree with this WhiteStripe, Lennon is probably referring to a load of shite/abuse he's been receiving on Twitter from so called supporters

This doesn't sound good then, so who is bullshitting Azza, harry, the medical staff?

Someone knows... but who is going to tell the truth?
Was it contrived to keep Jose from knowing about any illness that Lennon may have had, i heard that Lennon was not 100% before the game, but thought it was injury rather than illness!

Will Lennon be able to shake off the tag of "Bottler"?
Will Harry be able to escape the tag of "duplicitous"?
Will we ever be able to trust the information given by the club medics and staff again?

Tune in tomorrow for the next installment in this thrilling episode!!!

A journalist friend of mine said he saw Lennon in his hotel looking narked before the game, with agent in tow. Put it down as rubbish until the game, but now maybe not… Or maybe it still is, who knows.

Don't like his use of "they". Whoever he's referring to – the fans, the club – it's not great, is it?

Does he take his Agent with him to all the games...?

Why would he be walking around naked? That is crazy behaviour, no wonder red dropped him.

Agree that he's probably responding to people having a go at him on Twitter and 'fan' forums (oh how I'd all love to have the runs, not be able to make an important meeting, and have loads of my customers saying I'd bottled it).

Harry said Lennon 'hadn't been feeling great all day', so it's not like he's suggesting he suddenly fell ill before kick off (as Lennon seems to be accusing somebody of saying).

This makes saturday even more interesting now. Will Harry play him and all is forgotten? Or is this going to become an issue?

Are we even sure this was a genuine account?

Harry has just been on talksport saying that they knew Lennon was unwell but the Dr thought he'd be ok, after the warm up he did not look good - Harry asked him if he felt ok, he said he had no energy/strength but would give it a go as he was desparate to play.

Harry decided not to take the chance as he didn't look good, so they only knew a couple of minutes before kick off that he wouldn't play not that he'd been ill a couple of minutes before kick off.

He said no-one is blaming Lennon, it was just a virus that you can do nothing about.

I'm sure there's no problem, Lennon may have misunderstood the quotes from Harry that's all - will be straightend out no problem...

Right, so it's just the links to them particular tweets (can't remember which page they were on, back there somewhere) that have been swiped?

Well in that case

I havent read the whole thread so this may have already been mentioned.

I was listening to 5 live after the match and they were discussing Lennon.

Harry said that after the warm up, while in the dressing room waiting to come out, Lennon 'had that look on his face' and told him that he had no energy after the warm up, and he wasnt sure he could run and might have to be taken off after 5 minutes. Reading between the lines it seems it was Harrys decision not to risk it.

The pundits said that they had been told that in the Spurs 'camp', the feeling was that Lennon was more important than Bale in last nights match, as he was likely to get more space, and the psychological effect of his late withdrawal on our team meant we were almost beat before we stepped onto the pitch.

Last night I was a bit dumbfounded about the whole sore throat thing, but having calmed down a little, I feel for Lennon. I just dont buy that he bottled it. He has played in massive games already, and was surely really looking forward to ripping up the right wing.
