I cant help but wonder what would have happened if we haad not sacked Ramos? Were we in a rut that we would not, eventually climb out of? Would we have stayed in the bottom three and gone down, or would he/we of sorted ourselves out and climbed out of the mire to a decent finsh?

I understand what you're saying mate, but I just worry that more disruption we have, the more negative effect it has on the team.

I just want a quiet summer, let the media get on with it and next season we just get on with playing football (similar to Everton and Villa this year). If we're 5th or 6th with a chance of 4th in January, then by all means look to bring someone in to freshen it up to push us over the line.

Do you not think with the squad we have, we could push on next season? Especially since we're not in Europe next year.

I think the squad still needs some more experienced Senior players... of the 5 positions Boaman pointed out, could two of these not be 32/33 years old who are on a bosman or cheap, who are happy to play a bit part next season? We only need back-up left back, or striker so this could fit the bill (Viduka type player).

I agree we need to keep our best players happy, have a word with Moyesy, as no matter how well his team does, no-one ever seems to leave, or even want to leave !!

If the Board made it clear to the players that Ramos stays on and they have to pull their fingers out, there is no doubt in my mind that the team would have been closer to midtable by early January and then, with a couple of additions, could have finished not lower than we have in the end.
Why? The many changes in the team after August meant it would take time for team to start functioning more or less properly, ie the first 2-3 months were always likely to be difficult; by the time Redknapp arrived, Modric, Lennon and Pavlyuchenko were beginning to show signs of better form; Gomes was getting more accustomed to the league and the defence would have only got better with more time together and with more confident Gomes behind them; plus the teams around the relegation zone were deteriorating by Christmas and got even worse from January onwards.

But Levy decided to take the easier route of sacking the manager - and got away with it, as Harry did very well indeed.

last season was quite good, depending on the cup final result it may have been enough (along with the other 9) for us to realistically claim fifth best English team of the decade

for next season IMO

we're nowhere near mounting a top 4 challenge

of course if we buy 3 top players and keep all our good ones- and don't have our typical poor/average start but instead have a very good one

if if if - then just maybe we can talk about challenging top 4 and be taken seriously but ATM my feeling is for about 7th

for sure I won't be predicting till after the window is closed tho

And fans posting ins and outs lists! Should be fun!

Ins: Barry (ambitious!), Johnson, New forward (not sure who I'd want as I don't know as much about european footy as I used to)

Outs: Giovanni (never been given a chance but I'm pretty sure he's off), Bentley, Pav, Keane, Gilberto, Rocha

Players to give more chances to: Rose, Bostock, Taraabt (get on the phone to him and pursuade him to stay, arry - even though he's been treated diabolically by the club!)

Out Keane ? Is he doing the Hokey Kokey ?

Watch the highlights (lowlights) of the Stoke game away and come to your own conclusions my friend. We made them look like Barca in the last 10 mins

Or watch the last 10 min of the Blackburn game away - where we made them look like powerhouse force of Premiership.

At Stoke we played with 10 men for most of the match, managing to equalise with 10 against 11; At Blackburn we went down to 10 for the last 10-12 min while leading 1-0, and without good leadership either on or off the pitch on the day, proceeded to lose all shape and organisation.
