Our game of the season. Heard it from Poyet, from Berbatov and from Jenas. Would it not be better to keep quiet and talk after the match not before it? In view of our record against them the last thing we need is to heap extra pressure on ourselves. To be frank I would have preferred us to have let our football do the talking. The low key approach from the other side is better strategy .

I like them saying how much it means for us, because it actually convinces me that they'll put in a great deal of effort. I'm in no way guaranteeing a result, but I don't think we'll be disappointed with the performance by the end of the night.

Media obligations, im afraid. its not a case of our players/management going out of their way to brag and stoke it up, its all part of the media circus of football in the world today. Get used to it, cos it aint gonna change

Depends how players respond to it. Yeah it's a big game, local derbies always are , yes we are confident we can do it . First of a series of big games coming up - Manure in the cup and league, UEFA Cup coming up etc etc. We are giving the impression this is so huge that we are a small time club , a bit like Spam when they play us .

But they always say it. Does it really convince you of anything? They have to say stuff to reporters, they're hardly going to say 'actually, we're not up for it at all' are they? Is all just hot air. Less talk, more action.

Firstly, it's a game that would put us in a final, and one win away from a UEFA Cup place, which is something looking increasingly unlikely we won't get through the league...

Secondly, with Man Utd away in the 4th round of the FA Cup, our chances of getting a UEFA Cup spot through that competition are even harder than before...

Thirdly, it's against the Arse, so the stakes of a Wembley final and a potential European spot won by the end of February are increased tenfold...

If we win the tie, it's likely the only bigger game we'll play all season will be the final itself...

Low key like Arsenal, DT? They've hardly been low key. Half their f****** squad have come out and preened in the media spotlight. Even that fat f*** Fabianski, who's a total nobody and will probably die in a gutter somewhere, surrounded by fag ends and piss (I can dream).

Ladbrokes have us to win.

5/4 is shiddy money if you ask me.

I'd love to bet that if they are down 1-0 with ten mins on the clock then W*n*er will put all his 1st team subs on.....

I agree and would prefer a low key approach but...............it is the biggest as its is the game that will make or break our season. When are lads are interviewed, which they are contracted to do, do you want them to sound negative or disinterested?
