I wonder if it is easier to get youth players, under 16 a visa than it is to get adults? I always thought the way the EPL couldnt get good South American talant, the same way as Spain and Italy can, a real shame as everyone likes a good Brazilian .

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FOOTBALL CLUB AND SPORT CLUB INTERNACIONAL (INTER) ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

The Club is delighted to announce that it has concluded a strategic partnership with Brazilian club Sport Club Internacional for the purposes of working together to develop players for both the Club and other European Leagues.

Announcing the agreement, Chairman Daniel Levy said: "As we look to take the Club forward it will be increasingly important that we are able to track and develop emerging talented players. This co-operation between our two clubs, which will see an exchange of coaching methodologies as well as exchange visits, means that we shall be able to effect the placement and development of players from Brazil and South America with both ourselves or other European Leagues. It is an exciting partnership and opportunity for us and we look forward to working with Inter."

Inter has a strong track record of developing players - the likes of Alexandre Pato, Nilmar, Fabio Rochemback, Lucio, Daniel Carvalho, Luis Adriano and Rodrigo Possebon all stemmed from Inter.
This new partnership complements our existing international partnerships in the US and South Africa with San Jose Earthquakes and Supersport United respectively.
SC Internacional's Chairman, Vittorio Piffero, said: "This strategic partnership between two globally renowned clubs is an innovation in Brazilian football and will result not only in the exchange of youth players, but also in a comprehensive development of the Porto Alegre-based club by sharing expertise in areas such as marketing, promotions, trade opportunities, media and public relations."

Just a matter of time until Sandro lands imo.

Especially with the rumours of O'Hara going to Pompey on loan.

I think we will hear of this Sandro signing pretty soon following this announcement, there's no smoke without fire and of all the clubs in Brazil we partner up with his current club

It would seem so wouldn't it. Looks like some great business by Levy, fantastic.

Maybe the press assumed we were in for Sandro when actually we were there to organise the partnership?

They have, according to FM (LOL), a lot of other talented youngsters as well. Good partnership

Quotes from Inter suggested we made a reasonable bid...which suggests to me talks over the whole issue were/are ongoing.

This Sandro signing interests me.

Think he could be a genuine upgrade on Hudddlestone, or at worse some serious competition.

This is the feeling I get, but I think it makes way too much sense and followed way too much logic.

I personally am not bowled over by the idea of getting him anyway unless Jenas leaves.

This Kevin Anin guy sounds like the shrewd unexpected Wilson backup that I've been hoping for. Huddlestone is playing very well and our midfield looks settled to the extent that Jenas will have to fight his way back in/ wait for Huddlestone to lose form, so only if Jenas goes do I think we should sign a big money midfielder, because obviously Huddlestone will need competition as he will most likely lose form at some point, or at least get an injury.

Three top Cm's and an outright Wilson back up will suit me fine, so unless Jenas leaves I'm not really sold on the idea of anyone else.

I thought we had a couple of youngsters from that Supersport? Plus I get the idea those two are more commerical whereas Brazillian teams do tend to have a few decent youngsters.

Maybe they will take Gio on loan?
