I really feel sorry for him

if he chose the scousers over us , most people would have been creaming themselves over him

not every player has to be "world class " there is something called squad that why he got the winner against Fulham and was the best player against sunderland , he can be very valuable member of the squad who wont be calling to start evey game he just wants to be involved

and don't act like our team is full of "World class " players , in fact most of them haven't done much better than him ,, apart from a couple of good performances here or there most of our players have been really shit

Windy says £6mill

Windy also said Bentaleb is much more talented than Holtby already

Cant see @Lufti being happy that!

I don't particularly see this as a good deal. I look at what Holtby was worth to Schalke had their been a couple more seasons on his contract left, he would probably have been worth double that. It's why I think a loan to attempt to recoup that value makes sense. Instead of maybe a profit of about 4m we could realistically get his value back to where it was with a successful 6 month spell.

Agree loan him then see, but windy says he would be over the moon with £6mill

My dad love Holtby and wants him at United

I normally agree with just about everything Windy says but I wholeheartedly disagree with that assessment.

I think he is often on the ball alot but lately

Yeah, I didn't agree with his assessment of Pritchard, either. I think he's just a late-ish bloomer that needs to be held on to until we know what we've got. You can't sell a player like that for 1m when you're a club our size. 1m is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Especially when you consider how good he could become.

6 million pound for Germanys U21 captain is for me not really good when you see Henderson/ Rodwell etc moving for 15-20m . But german teams can't afford more.

Henderson I think was overpriced but is a good prospect(but I'm not sure he is going the right way)

Rodwell agree

However another POV, De Bruyne is behind Chadli in the National team and got sold for £16million to wolfsburg. Holtby after a good loan to schalke would definitely command closer to £16million than £6mill imo

Yep at least 10mill for holtby

Speaking of Man U, holtby would be very good for them with the dross they have in their ranks in anderson, cleverley, jones etc playing in CM

Moyes would have him playing in goal.

This season, and this club, just gets more and more farcical.

I thought we'd seen the last of this kind of nonsense with Pienaar.

Nice guy, but probably not someone worth keeping in our overfilled CM.
Sandro, Paulinho, Eriksen and Bentaleb are those we absolutely need to keep - but for the rest there are lots of competitions for 2 (hopefully soon to be 3!) spots, and Holtby is far back in that queue.
I'm more worried about letting Capoue go and not having a real Sandro-replacement than about losing Holtby, but as long as we keep those 4 first mentioned I'm not concerned about this aspect of Team Sherwood's decisions.

Who's windy anyway?

At least he's coming home to Schalke, embarrassed by Tottenham right now tbh, and it'll hurt their chances of buying other Bundesliga players imo.
