Apart from the obvious, i would say Darren Anderton. Loved watching him play. Was a major part of terry Venables' Spurs and England at Euro 96.

Was tempted by both, Kinsmann I was at SP fit the four goals so very close but I think he just has even too little longevity for me.

Darren at his best was a very good player for us but when his game changed he just became a little safety first for me and post the run of injuries I just can’t remember that much special from him bar that goal v Leeds. I’m potentially being very harsh though and I do think at his best he was England’s most talented midfielder.
Anderton had a wand of a right foot, Think he probably assisted 90% of Sheringhams goals in the 90s

Basically this for me minus the first list. I would also add Harry Redknapp, Dimitar Berbatov though. And for cult hero status: Sandro, Teemu Tainio, Steed Malbranque.

So apparently, going by Premier League caps, Ian Walker is our 8th most capped player.

If I remember his performances and off-pitch lifestyle correctly, he pretty much epitomised us in the 90s!

What is your criteria for a legend?
Someone who did any of these:
-Excited the fans
-Gave their all and loved the club and the fans had good rapport and respect for them
-Played for the club for a fairly long time at a high standard

Failing that when you say there name do you think 'Spurs legend', yes or no. For example Michael Dawson, not the best player ever but captain, leader, 110%, loved and still loves the club - legend!
Van Der Vaart, oozed class, Spurs type player, scored goals vs Arsenal and celebrated like we'd won the league, double nutmeg and shushh to Jack Wiltshire, fans adored him, still regularly does interviews saying how much he loved his time here and how he misses the club - legend.

you?

Fair play, I suppose that the definition of Legend is somewhat subjective.

Mine is a little more closer to "Icon" I would say, the top echelon of players.

For me King is a legend, Dawson is a good player who falls into the "well liked, good servant" category.

I briefly spoke to Michael Dawson once.

It was up by UCH (Gower Street) and since he was out injured at the time, I think he had been in the hospital there.

I was walking past him and I said "I hope you get well soon Michael" and he said "Good man; thanks, appreciate that", but it felt like he was genuinely pleased.

Very charismatic; proper legend in my mind :)
