Literally this minute im trying to book a flight out to London from LA for the final.

Non general sale just adds to the madness. Anyone able to pick 2 extra up?

Just noticed this off of THST twitter in respect of screens in the middle of the pitch.

Asked last week. They were looking into it. Haven't heard since.

So both no sales to non-members and no screens on the pitch, despite full capacity!

The latter is simply a stunning oversight. I helped organised outdoor cinema nights with huge screens and massive sound systems within weeks and for dirt cheap. If I can do it then Spurs sure as fuck can.

Pop-Up Screens?

Did that last summer it was quality. Nice one mate!

Desperate to go to this and take the parents who are both massive Yids...

Unfortunately I currently have a four days old baby who will not be ready to be left alone with mum all night by the 1st!

‘Fortunately’ :)

Massive congratulations!

Disappointed I won't be able to see this at the stadium, but pub it is. No general sale is kind of rough on us Yanks flying in for the game but I understand wanting to keep the tickets available to the locals who fill the stadium up every week. Really, I think a pub will be more fun but I was hoping to get into the stadium just to see it.

Same debate in a WhatsApp chat I’ve got with some mates.

As people have pointed out, if the capacity is full and the view is shit then the club could have some serious safety issues with people from the upper tiers abandoning their seats for the bars.

This could cause, at best, horrendous queues/inability to get to the bars. At worst it could cause crushes.

The only way to do it properly is to put a cube of screens on the pitch, as Madrid did a few years ago for their fans.

Could always do a SC social, but then we’d have to actually talk to each other which would be uncomfortable and weird :sneaky:

I'd just ignore you all while I posted in the match day thread so it wouldn't bother me.

Surely if ever there was a time to test the concert mode of this stadium then it’s now? The pop up screens that were in pretty much every city last year for the World Cup and at every festival surely can’t be that hard to come by?

Similar, yes. A company rented them out together with an engineer and it was surprisingly cheap. We had popcorn and deck chairs and bean bags and shit. T'was really cool.

I have a feeling my brother won't make it - more than welcome to our member card of his if I manage to get sorted with the tickets

That’s genuinely really kind of you. Thank you. There might be someone more deserving...

I mean... its a tenner. Worst case we could do a SC meet up in the concourse somewhere?

I think rather than get my ST seat, which is east upper and has a bollocks view of the screens, I'll wait until the members window and chance my arm at the Park Lane.

Honestly don't know why they don't slide the pitch back and let everyone watch from there. Cost I guess. A tenner for everyone to go in and just watch the screen is an easy revenue win for them.

It's not the cost though, it's the risk of the viewing and whole experience being shit and thus ruining a momentous occasion.

Most fans want to be absolutely sure, wherever they watch it will tick all the boxes for them, and of course the key points will be, can I see the screen properly and will it be an enjoyable viewing experience. The four small screens in the stadium just doesn't cut it.

I'm out. Will watch it at home or at a pub.

Are there quality places to watch the game within the stadium even if I can get tickets. I feel the “novelty” might wear off and I’ll just end up at one of the concession stands TVs.

This is going to be shit, no screens on the pitch will mean an awful view for a lot of people.

When we win, I guess everyone will head to Tottenham high road?

Plenty of tv screens around the concourse if the view is shit. I'll be running to the nearest pub if needs be, only 10 quid lost worse comes to worse!

If they can’t find a way to keep people in their seats, that would be nuts. Can’t imagine 60,000 people hurrying to the concourses.

But they will not fill the stadium. I have a season ticket miles
From my mates. If I cannot be next to them I will not go. Nor will they.

Doubt the pubs will be better than the screens at the ground. Overcrowded, rubbish sound and hard to see anything is the norm
