We play them again in the Carling Cup defence in 10 days.

I know i've skipped Zagreb and Man Shitty, but anyone fancy a backlash or will we raise our game again in our defence of the trophy?

And again, it's at WHL.

They'll be starting a much weakened team, I'm 100% certain. Their priority will be the League, then the CL, so I'd be very suprised if we end up playing against any of Carragher, Gerrard, Torres, Kuyt or Keane.

We should see a very different liverpool team in the CC. Think the likes of Ngog, Lucas etc...

We should perhaps play Ghaly, GDS, Rocha etc...

They may use it as a way of helping get Torres back to match fitness, and if he's anyway sharp we could be in trouble. Had he played yesterday it would've been a different result.

Big game for us I feel. While we have been worrying about relegation it is forgotten we have a squad capable of achieving something.

Very unlikely we can get much more than upper mid-table this season in the league so the 3 cups become even more important to us.

With Rafa's roatation policy and the fact that they wont see the CC as important as say us I think we could do them again only this time put in a performance to match the result.

Im in basic agreement as the above.

LFC will play a far weaker team to that available for a genarl league or champs league match and from our point of view in terms of squad availability the cups are our most likely source of glory/european qualification so a strong line up would favourable with afew changes, ie, possibly Rocha, GDS, Campbell, Lennon starting.

Cup nights at the lane have been memorable of late (well, apart from the earlier UEFA cup games this season) so i would hope they long continue starting with LFC in the CC!

well hopefully carragher does play as he is one own goal away from equaling his total career goals for liverpool. At the moment it stands Liverpool 4 goals Tottenham 3 goals

HAHAHAH That's a cracking stat! I think he needs to be included in our all time topscorers list for that.

Carragher must be up there with Spurs highest goalscorers against Pool in Premiership history.

Excellent stat.

What type of team will Harry put out? Will he try some squad players, res keeper, Gunter, Dos Santos, Dawson, and another young kid from the res?

BEWARE The Scousers! Take that as you will....but I am slightly afraid that our gallant band of Yids will 'get too big for their boots' (in the old Spurs sense!) and blow the chance to humble them once again!
Let's hope that Rafa is not too bothered about the CC and that we are 'firing on all cylinders' (a first?) COYS!

All depends what team them and us put out. I would imagine they will definately put out a weakened squad, I would have thought we will probably put out a pretty strong one.

Have to see what teams feature. They would definately like to beat us though!

I'm more interested in how Harry treats the Carling Cup. Its our best chance of qualifying for Europe again. And i dont think he expects a relegation scrap now. So i think he'll field a pretty solid team. We should be up against a weakened Liverpool team, so it will be up to us to perform. Its now 2 in 2 at WHL for Harry, and hopefully we turn WHL into a fortress again under Harry. A win on thursday night and i think we're well on our way to making that happen. Chelsea didn't avenge their Carling Cup defeat last season, and Arsenal didn't avenge their 5-1 defeat either. So hopefully we get through this one.

You say that with such confidence like it's foregone conclusion.
How do you know? How can you be so sure?

If we don't play the kids we're fucked. If they do then I think we'll be in with a chance........although one must remember that Harry, quite rightly, is not treating cups as a priority this year.

It's an opinion. He's a world class striker in a team that created a lot of chances and was crying out for a top finisher to put them away. It looked like Liverpool were the home side ffs.
