The best backup keeper we've had in ages. Would be a shame to let him go. It's a specialist role that a decent quality number 1 can't necessarily perform adequately (see Vorm). Joe Hart these days is neither.

Funny thing is I had a feeling they'd enquire about Gazzaniga...if this is indeed true - probably BS but if it is true then we should say no anyway :p

I don't agree at all. Gazzaniga is a liability. He's been okay for us, had a few good games but I'd much rather have Hart than Gazza. The penalty challenge v Chelsea last year best illustrated why Gazzaniga just isn't good enough. That wasn't the only cock up he made but it was the most spectacular and brainless.

Good luck to him if he goes but, from a playing perspective, I don't think he'll be missed.

They coasted along with no major injuries for ages, winning trophies at full strength, while we patched up our team and struggled through. Now they want us to help them strengthen as they don’t have the depth to take a few knocks.

I think he was consistently solid with the odd error thrown in. Nothing compared to the shit show that has been Joe Hart, both as a number 1 and 2 over the last 5 years. There's a reason Liverpool would want one and not the other.

They're a league rival - we shouldn't even think about helping them out.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Not that I want to see Gazza leave but Hart is clearly Jose’s man so if he wants to have any chance of extra games this season then hopefully the club won’t stand in his way.

vorm was the best back up keeper for the first few seasons we had him imo
